December 11

Officer Mark Templemere conducted security checks on local businesses.

Deputy Chief Ryan Boyle arrested an individual on an outstanding Shannon County warrant.

Sgt. David Hocking and Officer Corey Clark responded to a report of a verbal domestic at a residence on East 6th St. Both parties separated and agreed to leave. 

Officer Ryan McGinnis responded to a child custody exchange dispute.

Sgt. Hocking and Officer McGinnis responded to the area of South Center St and Hill St for a semi-truck stuck in the intersection and struck an electric pole. They investigated the accident and city crew contacted.

Sgt. Hocking received a report of a dog biting its owner on East Fourth St. Fire Chief Logan will follow up on the case.

Officer Templemere received a report of underage drinking on State Route 137. He will forward the report to Texas County.

Chief Wes Ellison and officer Joe Barnhouse investigated a non-injury vehicle accident at Peterbilt.

Sgt. Hocking investigated a non-injury vehicle accident at Hill Street and South Center. 

Sgt. Hocking responded to a verbal domestic dispute on East Sixth Street. 

Officer McGinnis responded to a report of stealing on Sunshine Drive.

Officer McGinnis investigated a report of stolen lumber on Park Street.

December 13

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Sgt. Hocking and Officer Clark responded to Snappy Mart in reference to individuals in a verbal argument and threatening each other. They spoke with one individual stating they did not wish to pursue charges.

December 14

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officers Templemere and McGinnis responded to a commercial alarm. They checked the area and secured the building.

Officer McGinnis assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol on Industrial Drive.

December 15

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Sgt. Michael Zeller responded to Tractor Supply for a report of shoplifting.

Officer McGinnis assisted EMS with a medical call on State Route 76.

Officer Templemere assisted EMS with a medical call on West Fourth Street.

Sgt. Zeller and Officer Gates took a report of a stolen toolbox on Pine Grove Road.

Sgt. Zeller took a report of a theft.

December 16

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Sgt. Zeller assisted with an individual threatening to take their life.

Officers conducted a requested wellbeing check. EMS transported the subject.

December 17

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Barnhouse responded to East Main for a commercial alarm. He spoke with an employee who set off the alarm.

Sgt. Zeller assisted EMS with a medical call on North Ferguson Street.

 

For the week: officers investigated five suspicious activity calls, three animal calls, one funeral escort, two lost property items, assisted ten individuals with information, returned six requests for contact, spoke with six individuals entering the police department, completed one prisoner transport, and issued twenty-four traffic warnings.
