Calls for Service

November 6

Deputy Chief Ryan Boyle conducted an investigation involving vandalism and property damage. He assisted West Plains Police with a similar incident. He issued the suspect a citation.

Chief Wes Ellison investigated a report of a missing person. They later located the individual.

Deputy Chief Boyle assisted Howell County Sheriff’s Office on North Ferguson St.

Cpl. David Hocking and Officer Joe Barnhouse responded to a residence on East Fourth St. for a reported abandoned cat secured in a dog cage for an extended period of time. Their investigation found it appeared the previous owners moved and left the cat outside in a uncovered dog cage with no food or water. A citizen living next door to the residence filled out a statement form and wished to take possession of the cat. An investigation is ongoing at this time.

Officer Mark Templemere responded to a commercial alarm. He checked and secured the building.

Cpl. Hocking investigated a car and deer accident.

Officers spoke to ten individuals requesting information or assistance and issued five traffic warnings.

November 7

Officer Corey Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Barnhouse arrested a subject on multiple outstanding warrants.

Deputy Chief Boyle and Animal Control Officer Andy Logan investigated a report of a dog bite.

Officer Barnhouse assisted a motorist with a tire change on Willow Road.

Officers spoke to five individuals requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.

November 8

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Clark responded to a vehicle and deer motor vehicle accident on US Highway 63 near Railroad Drive overpass.

Officers McGinnis and Gates responded to an assault between neighbors. They issued both parties citations.

Officer McGinnis assisted EMS with a medical call.

Officers spoke to six individuals requesting information or assistance.

November 9

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Clark spoke with an individual at closed Casey's General Store after closing hours. EMS transported the individual was transported to West Plains Hospital.

Cpl. Hocking investigated a report of a car and deer collision on US HWY 60/63.

Officer McGinnis assisted EMS with a medical call.

Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance and issued one traffic warning.

November 10

Officers Clark and Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Gates took a report of property damage.

Officers spoke to eight individuals requesting information or assistance and issued eight traffic warnings.

November 11

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Templemere responded to a commercial alarm. He checked and secured the building.

Sgt. Zeller monitored the school pick up line.

Officers spoke to one individual requesting information and issued four traffic warnings.

November 12

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance and issued two traffic warnings.

Animal Control logged three calls in addition to responding with officers.
