April 14
Officer Austin Deshazo arrested an individual on an out-of-state warrant.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Lanton Road for a possible altercation. Investigation found all parties separated. No charges will follow.
April 15
Officer Ivie Powell responded to Monks St for a disturbance. Investigation found one intoxicated subject had sustained injuries. EMS transported the subject for treatment. This matter will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor.
Officer Powell arrested an individual with an active arrest warrant.
The West Plains Police Special Response Team executed a narcotics-related search warrant for the South Central Drug Task Force on Cherry Street. They secured the residence and turned it over to investigators with the South Central Drug Task Force.
Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to Summers Street for a runaway juvenile. Officers located the juvenile, and a referral will be forwarded to the juvenile office.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Jackson Street to speak with an individual regarding child custody violation.
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Hubert Redburn for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers arrested one individual and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. This case will be referred to the prosecuting attorney's office.
April 16
Officer Chris Barrett took a report of a lost cell phone.
Officer Barrett responded to Hubert Redburn Lane apartment for a report of assault. Speaking with a parent, they stated their child threw a drink at them and got their clothing wet.
Officer Keepes responded to Worcester regarding damaged and stolen property. An investigation will be conducted.
Officer Keepes responded to Jackson Street for a physical domestic altercation. Investigation found a verbal altercation between spouses. No charges will be sought.
April 17
Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to Porter Waggoner for a peace disturbance. Officers returned later for the same individual and issued them a summons to court.
Officer Powell took a report of property damage to a vehicle parked behind a business on Cass Ave.
Officer Robert Shell arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
April 18
Officer Daimen Meyer conducted a traffic stop on State Route CC. Investigation found the driver in possession of items they were not legally old enough to possess. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Det. Sgt. Aaron Galiher received a referral from Missouri DFS reporting a juvenile disclosed sexual abuse. An investigation discovered the allegations unfounded.
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force executed a residential search warrant on South High Avenue in Joplin. Officers seized several items as evidence and took a suspect into custody pending formal charges. Additional charges will be pending the completion of digital forensics.
Officer Deshazo arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Barrett arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Shell arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
April 19
Officer Shell took a report from an individual on Bartley Street of property damage.
April 20
Cpl. Brandon Stevens arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Barrett took a report of child custody interference. Charges will be sought.
Officer Jerry Mingus responded to Pearl Circle for a domestic altercation. Investigation found an assault took place between a couple as well as abuse to an animal. Charges will be pursued.
