Calls for Service

December 8

Officer Joseph Tombley responded to the area of South Hill for an investigation regarding a possible parental kidnapping situation. An investigation remains ongoing.

Officer Jesse Martin responded to Terra Drive for a reported court order violation. Charges will be filed.

Officer Conner Burnes investigated a report of a juvenile in possession of a marijuana vape device. He seized the device and this case will be sent to the Howell County Juvenile Office for review and prosecution.

Officer Tyler Franks arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.

December 9

Officer Tyler Gill responded to Maple Street for a report of an assault. Officers investigated and a report will be filed with the West Plains Municipal Courts.

December 10

Officer Daiman Meyer responded to Lincoln Avenue for warrant service. He received consent to search of the premises and located numerous items related to the consumption of narcotics. Officers place two individuals on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. This case will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office.

While conducting business checks on Preacher Roe Blvd. Cpl. Wesley Stuart located an open door. He found no signs of foul play at the business.

Officer Martin responded to a residential alarm on east Highway 160. He found an open door with no signs of forced entry.

Officer Meyer responded to Lincoln Avenue for a search warrant. They placed three individuals on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. This case will be to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Officer Brent Keepes responded to the intersection of Kentucky and Gibson for a two-vehicle accident where one vehicle had fled the scene. Charges will be sought and further investigation will be conducted. 

Officer Dawson Beavers responded to Curry, in reference to a reported domestic altercation. An investigation discovered two roommates in a physical altercation with possible minor injuries. Based on the conflicting statements provided by both parties, the lack of observable injuries, and the victim’s unwillingness to pursue charges, this case will be closed.

December 11

Officer Beavers arrested an individual on Kody Drive for an outstanding warrant.

Officer Shell responded to Lynn St for a report of a domestic altercation.

Officer Meyer responded to Kentucky Avenue for a report of trespassing. Throughout the investigation, officers observed the subject made unauthorized access into a restricted portion of a business. They placed the individual under arrest. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.

December 12

Officer Tombley assisted with a stolen trailer from Oregon County. 

Officer Shell took a report of stealing. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review. 

Officer Shell responded to Lanton Road for a report of suspicious circumstances. During the investigation he arrested an individual on outstanding warrants.

Officer Meyer arrested an individual on Lincoln Ave for outstanding warrants.

Officer Barrett responded to South Howell Avenue for a report of an out-of-control juvenile. He spoke with a juvenile making suicidal comments they transported to the hospital for a mental elevation.
