Officer Jesse Martin took a report of harassment and began an investigation.

Officer Joseph Tombley spoke with an individual regarding suspicious circumstances.

Officer Martin spoke to an individual reporting finding ladies’ undergarments in their mailbox.

November 18

Officer Martin responded to Division Drive for a report of a runaway juvenile. They located the juvenile and transported them to the Howell County Juvenile Office. 

November 19

Officer Brandon Vernon responded to Maple Street for a report of a purse stolen from the sidewalk. 

Officer Martin responded to Heselton Park for a report of property damage.

Officer Dawson Beavers responded to State Route K for a domestic dispute. His investigation discovered a couple in a romantic relationship had a verbal argument. The subjects separated.

Officer Beavers responded to Walnut St regarding a domestic dispute. His investigation discovered a couple in a romantic relationship had a verbal argument over one individual’s residence. The subjects separated.

November 20

Officer Vernon responded to Mitchell St for a previous burglary. The victim stated a subject stole several cases of beer from the fridge located outside the business. This case will remain open and under investigation.

Officer Conner Burnes investigated a report of suspicious circumstances. He seized a baggy with a green leafy substance. 

Officer Vernon arrested an individual on an outstanding, full US extradition fugitive warrant.

Officer Shell took a report of suspicious circumstances.

Officer Shell responded to Lanton Rd. for an emergency call to assist medical personnel for an unconscious elderly person. They later pronounced the individual deceased. There is no foul play suspected.

November 21

Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to a residence on North Howell Avenue for a report of a domestic assault. His investigation determined a female suspect caused injury to a male victim by repeatedly striking him with a rifle outside of the residence. They placed the female suspect under arrest and on a twenty-four-hour hold pending formal charges.

Officer Vernon responded to Jackie for a report of a juvenile problem. They transported the juvenile to the hospital by the mother's request.

Officer Tombley responded to the area of Haddock St. and 14 Hwy for an investigation involving property damage and theft of city-owned property.

Officer Tyler Franks responded to the area of Webster Avenue and Halstead Street regarding a report of found property. An investigation discovered multiple items left behind. They were unable to locate the owner of the items.

Officer Franks took a report of property damage to a vehicle.

Officer Franks responded to a business in reference to a stealing report. He discovered an individual had fraudulent charges on their card. This case is closed due to lack of evidence and any further leads.

Officer Brent Keepes arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.

Officer Shell took a report of a previous domestic.

November 22

Officer Caleb Kerley responded to a call of harassment. He issued a citation to an individual previously trespassed from the area.

Officer Vernon arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.

Officer Tombley began an investigation of a theft.

Officer Shell took a report of a previously occurring domestic altercation.

November 24

Officer Martin responded to West Plains Savings and Loan for a reported theft. A report will be forwarded to the Detectives Unit.

Officer Beavers began an investigation regarding multiple vehicle parts stolen from a residence on Paula. This case will be closed due to an unidentifiable suspect.

Officer Beavers responded to Southern Hills shopping center regarding a shoplifting incident. An investigation discovered an individual stole merchandise from the business. This case is open and still under investigation.

Officer Beavers investigated a report of a stolen, then returned, $100 bill. This case is closed due to an unidentifiable suspect.

November 25

Animal Control Officer Brad Jones discovered a guitar in the grass near the animal control facility. 

Officer Beavers responded to Saint Louis Street regarding a reported domestic altercation. An investigation discovered a female got into a physical altercation with her boyfriend. The subjects became separated during the altercation. During the investigation he found the female subject had active warrants out of West Plains Police Department. This case remains open pending contact with the male subject.

Officer Nathaniel Siegrist responded to KC’s Sports Bistro in reference to stealing. This case will remain open pending further investigation.

November 26

Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to an alarm on Lincoln Ave and found an unsecured door. There is no foul play suspected.

ACO Jones responded to the Animal Clinic of West Plains for a subject needing to file a report regarding her neighbor’s dogs attacking her dog. He contacted the neighbor and issued charges for dog running at large.

Officer Dobbs responded to Preacher Roe Boulevard for a report of a private property crash. One party involved left the scene without reporting the crash. This case is open for further investigation.

Cpl. Micah McKemie responded to 5th St in reference to a theft. The case is open pending further investigation.

West Plains Police Department and Howell County Deputies responded to a report of a suicidal person armed with a weapon and gasoline near the Ozarks Healthcare area. Officers located the individual in a distressed mental state. They initiated crisis negotiation efforts and after several minutes of dialogue, officers and deputies safely detained the subject without injury to the public. They transported the individual to the hospital for evaluation and a 96-hour mental health hold. No Criminal charges will be sought at this time.

Officer Beavers responded to a commercial alarm and found an open door. He found no signs of foul play and secured the business.

November 27

Officer Dobbs took a report of child abuse. He hotlined the report and it will remain open for further investigation.

November 28

Officer Tombley responded to East State Route K for a non-responsive individual experiencing a medical emergency. Medical personnel attempted to perform life-saving measures. Pending the formal pronouncement of time of death, officers completed a death investigation.

Officer Shell took a report of domestic assault. Charges will be forwarded to the West Plains Municipal Courthouse for review.

Officer Franks responded to a residence in reference to a domestic altercation. His investigation found a male and a female had a physical altercation with one subject sustaining injuries. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Municipal Prosecutors' Office for review.

November 29

Officer Barrett responded to Broadway Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle crash with one of them leaving the scene.

November 30

Officer Martin took a report of domestic assault. Charges will be filed. 

Officer Shell responded to Worley Drive for a report of a burglary. After an investigation of a broken window on the side of the building, they contacted a suspect and later arrested them. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

Officer Beavers took a report of theft of money from a business. This case remains open pending identification of the suspects.

Officer Kerley responded to Burke Ave. for a domestic disturbance and determined no crime had occurred. They received two more subsequent calls and on the third call, determined an assault took place and arrested an individual.
