Officer Ivie Powell arrested an individual at Court Square on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Joseph Tombly arrested an individual at Court Square on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Aqua Power Wash for a report of vandalism. The victim did not wish to pursue the matter.
Officer Conner Burnes responded to a report of truancy. He found a juvenile asleep in their vehicle, woke them, and escorted them into the school. This case will be referred to the Howell County Court Juvenile Division.
Officer Burnes responded to a threat on Thornburgh. A juvenile stated they would bring a gun to school. This case is still under investigation.
Officer Dawson Beavers investigated a report of a domestic disturbance. He found only a verbal disagreement.
October 21
Officer Powell responded to Big Deer Run for a burglary. His investigation found tools stolen from a construction site.
Officer Brandon Vernon took a report of a theft that occurred previously.
Officer Beavers took a report of a stolen heater from a residence on Maple St.
Officer Beavers investigated a vehicle accident at Porter Wagoner Boulevard and McFarland Drive with one driver leaving the scene.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to North Lincoln Ave for a report of a subject looking into the windows of the residence. He took one subject into custody pending charges.
October 22
Officer Vernon took a report of theft by scam on Walnut Street.
Officer Powell arrested an individual for an outstanding warrant.
Officer Beavers took a report of forgery. This case will remain open pending further investigation by the West Plains Police Department's Detective Division.
October 23
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Sixth Street for a report of a domestic altercation. This case will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Officer Vernon arrested an individual for an outstanding warrant.
Officer Chris Barrett responded to a business on Porter Wagoner Blvd regarding a theft of a vehicle from the business.
Officer Burnes investigated a report of juveniles in possession of marijuana and nicotine vape products. The report will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Division.
Officer Dobbs took a report of theft by deception. This case will be under investigation.
Officer Keepes spoke with an individual regarding a sexual assault. An investigation will be conducted and remain open.
October 24
Cpl. Wesley Stuart responded to Washington Avenue for a disturbance. They later transported an individual to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental health evaluation as a result of the incident
Officer Tyler Franks responded to Saint Louis St for a domestic disturbance. He found a couple involved in an altercation where items were thrown. Both individuals agreed to separate for the night.
Sgt. Colter Reid responded to Sixth St for a suicidal subject.
Officer Daiman Meyer investigated a report of an assault. The case lacked further suspects or information and will be closed.
October 25
Officer Gill took a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officer Franks responded to a business in reference to possible runaway juveniles. His investigation discovered two juveniles ran away from a home in Houston. They located both juveniles and the Juvenile Office and Children’s Division took custody of the children.
October 26
Officer Beavers responded to Lanton Road regarding a domestic disturbance. An investigation discovered during a verbal altercation between spouses the wife struck the husband with the back of her hand. The victim did not want any charges filed. This case will be closed.
Officer Caleb Kerley investigated a suspicious incident and found a private property accident.
