Officer Brandon Vernon arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Officer Vernon responded to S Howell for a report of a runaway juvenile. He located the juvenile and took them to the juvenile office.
Officers responded to Howell Ave for a domestic altercation. One individual fled the scene and officers later arrested them. A probable cause statement will be referred to the Howell County Prosecutors Office for review.
Officer took a report of a crime involving a child. This case will be referred to the West Plains Police Department Detectives Division for further investigation and will be reported to the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline.
June 10
The Missouri State Technical Assistance Team (STAT) requested a digital forensic extraction conducted on a cellular device as part of an on-going investigation within their jurisdiction.
The Howell County Sheriff's Office requested a digital forensic extraction conducted on a cellular device as part of an on-going investigation within their jurisdiction.
Sgt. Brandon Romans responded to Thayer Avenue regarding a dispute over child custody. His investigation determined that a couple which are currently married and reside with one another had a verbal dispute. Nothing physical occurred. No further investigation will be expected.
Officer Jesse Martin took a report of a missing juvenile. They located the juvenile a short time later.
June 11
Cpl. Trent Kinder traveled to Oregon County to assist in transporting an individual with an outstanding warrant back to West Plains Jail.
Officer Dobbs responded to Humphries Drive for a report of a stolen vehicle and other items. They located the vehicle took suspects into custody. This case will be pending charges for stealing motor vehicle, stealing-felony, fraudulent use of credit/debit device, and identity theft.
Officer Joseph Tombley responded to Ozarks Healthcare for a report of a dog bite incident. The investigation showed only minor injuries and the dog in question up to date on all its vaccinations and immunizations.
Officer Daimen Meyer responded to the area of County Road 1770 for a report of a disturbance. His investigation learned the reporting party had not been truthful and had filed a report for a crime that did not occur. This case remains open pending further investigation.
June 12
Animal Control took a report from an individual that received a bite from a chihuahua while out running. The individual wished to pursue charges. The owner of the dog received a summons to court.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to the West Plains Motel for an individual with an altered mental status. They placed the individual on a 96-hour hold.
Officer Shell arrested two individuals on an outstanding warrants.
June 13
Officer Meyer located a juvenile in a park after hours. He returned the juvenile to their residence. The case will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Office for review.
Officer Meyer responded to Burgoyne Street for a report of a burglary. His investigation determined someone forcibly entered the residence and stole items from within. They identified a suspect, and this case will be to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.
The Southwest MO Cyber Crimes Task Force, HSI-Springfield (MO), and the Branson Police Department executed a residential search warrant on Arlene Street in Branson concerning the sexual exploitation of children.
Officer Shell took a report of an assault.
Officer Meyer took a report of an assault. This case will be open and inactive pending further information.
June 14
Officer Meyer conducted a foot patrol in the area of Hirsch Feed Farm Supply. He found an open door and cleared the business.
Sgt. Wichowski responded to the Tractor Supply Company for a report of an alarm. He located an open door, and officers cleared the business without incident.
Officer Kerley responded to Deatherage in regard to a domestic incident involving a knife. His investigation found an altercation took place. Both parties refused to cooperate during interviews.
Officer Vernon took a report of an assault. He investigated the information, and a probable cause statement will be sent to the prosecutor.
Officer Vernon responded to Jackson St. for a report of a suicidal subject who stabbed himself in the stomach. EMS transported the subject to the Emergency room for medical treatment.
Officer Meyer responded to 6th Street for an assault. After investigating the incident, he identified a suspect. This case will be open and active pending a formal interview with the suspect.
June 15
Officer Gill responded to Porter Wagoner Boulevard and Gibson Avenue for a report of a vehicle with individuals shooting pellets out the window. Officers located the vehicle and conducted an investigative stop. Charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Office for review.
Officer Martin took a report of child abuse. The investigation is ongoing.
