May 19

Det. Jeremy Pounds took a report from an individual reporting they received harassing messages from a person they know.

Officers responded to West Plains Motel for a report of theft. 

The Missouri State Technical Assistance Team (STAT) requested a digital forensic extraction conducted on a cellular device as part of a child exploitation investigation.

Officer Brent Keepes responded to the area of Abe Taylor for a juvenile walking in the roadway. He took the juvenile back to the parents. 

While on patrol Cpl. Wesley Stuart observed a physical altercation occurring in the south bound lanes of Porter Wagoner Blvd. He separated all of the parties, and the victim refused to comply with the filing of charges.

Officer Tombley responded to the location on N. Utah regarding a report of an open door at D&D Produce.

May 20

Officer Austin Deshazo received information of a runaway juvenile from Douglas County possibly located at a medical facility in West Plains. They located the juvenile and transported them to the Howell County Juvenile Office and released them into their custody.

Officer Keepes responded to the area of Court Square for a verbal domestic disturbance. After separating the parties, he found a verbal argument occurred and will not seek charges.

May 22

The Ozark County Sheriff's Office requested digital forensic extractions conducted on cellular devices seized during an on-going investigation within their jurisdiction.

Officer Chris Barrett responded to East Main Street for a report of stealing. Investigation found someone stole diesel fuel out of the company's vehicle while parked at the business.

Officer Dobbs responded to the area of Higby Street for a report of a domestic assault. Charges will be forwarded to Howell County Prosecutors.

May 23

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office requested digital forensic extractions conducted on two cellular devices as part of an on-going within their jurisdiction.

Officer Barrett responded to Washington Avenue for a report of loose dogs. He spoke with an individual stating the neighbors’ dogs jumped the fence and came into her yard killing 3 of her cats.

May 24

Officer Daiman Meyer responded to the Casey's General Store located on Gibson Avenue in reference to a report of a subject passed out at the wheel of a vehicle. His investigation determined the individual operated the vehicle while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Formal charges will be pending.

Officers responded to Curry Avenue for a report of a previous domestic altercation. The subject did not wish to pursue charges.

Officer Barrett responded to Lexington for a report of aggressive dogs running loose. The owners received citations.

Officer Ivie Powell responded to a residence on Ridgewood referencing property damage. He spoke to the victim who said an unknown individual broke the latch on their gate and attempted to gain entry to a locked shed.

Officer Meyer responded to the area of Leeanna Drive for a report of harassment. They identified a suspect, and this case is open and inactive pending further information.

Officer Meyer responded to Porter Wagoner for a report of property damage. He identified the suspects, and this case is open awaiting further information.

May 25

Sgt. Joshua Wichowski responded to a residence on for a report of a prowler in the vicinity of the backyard of the residence. This matter remains under further investigation.

While on patrol Sgt. Wichowski recognized a person of interest in an arson investigation conducted by the Missouri State Fire Marshall's Office. They contacted the agency and after an interview they arrested the subject for the offense.

While patrolling the area of Broadway and People’s Park, Officer Kerley noticed an individual sleeping on a picnic table under the pavilion.

Officer Joseph Tombley responded to a report of possible shots fired on 9th Street. Investigation determined a dog bite in a residence occurred and someone inside the house shot the dog in self-defense.

Officer Jerry Mingus responded to Holiday Lane for an assault. He found two individuals involved in a physical altercation.
