October 13
Cpl. Wesley Stuart conducted security checks of local businesses and located an open door. He found no signs of foul play and secured the building.
Officer Dawson Beavers investigated a non-injury vehicle accident with one driver fleeing the scene.
Officer Jerry Mingus responded to Meadow Drive for property damage. He found the back glass of a vehicle possibly broken by a walnut.
Officer Beavers investigated a report of a domestic assault. He arrested one subject and charges are pending.
October 14
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Preacher Roe Blvd for a report of a verbal assault. He will attempt to collect further evidence; this case will remain open.
Office Ivie Powell responded to Davis Drive for a report of an unknown individual on the roof. He found a subject sitting on the roof and after assisting them down he found them in possession of a controlled substance and had caused property damage. Officer Powell arrested the individual and will be held on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.
Officer Powell spoke with the reporting party of a burglary that occurred on W. Main St on October 13. An unknown suspect entered the residence and stole $140.00. This matter remains under investigation.
Officer Jesse Martin responded to Walker Street for a report of a subject cutting themselves. They transported the subject for a mental health evaluation.
Officer Conner Burnes investigated a report of a juvenile in possession of nicotine products. This case will be sent to the Juvenile Office.
Officer Beavers responded to Main Street in reference to a juvenile problem. His investigating he discovered a juvenile made terrorist threats. This case will be referred to the Howell County Juveniles Division.
October 15
Animal Control Officer Brad Jones spoke to a homeowner concerned a former tenant had moved out of a rental property he owned and left a dog at the residence. He made several attempts to try and contact the owner. When all attempts failed, he transported the dog to the animal control facility. A report will be forwarded to the city prosecutors’ office for filing of charges.
Officer Brandon Vernon conducted a requested wellbeing check. He found the individual a harm to themselves and transported them to the hospital.
Officer Conner Burnes investigated a report of a juvenile in possession of nicotine products. This case will be sent to the Juvenile Office.
Det. Joel Lovelace received information of a sexual assault from Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. After investigation the victim declined to file charges.
Officer Beavers investigated a report of a court order violation. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecutors' Office.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Jefferson Street for unattended children in a neighbor's lawn. He contacted Missouri Children's Division due to concerns about the wellbeing of the children.
Officer Daiman Meyer arrested an individual for an outstanding warrant.
October 16
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski conducted security checks of local businesses and located an open door. He cleared the business and secured it.
Officer Meyer responded to US Highway 63 for a report of a disturbance in progress. After his investigation he placed on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. This case will be referred to the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office for review.
Officer Vernon responded to a report of one individual attempting to break into another’s residence. After completing a trespass warning, the individual stated they wanted to kill themselves and attempted to gain access to a knife. They transported them to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
Officer Barrett took a report of possible forgery.
Officer Dobbs responded to Snappy Mart North for a report of property damage. This case is open for further investigation.
October 17

Officer Beadell responded to Kentucky Ave. to assist with a combative patient. They placed the subject on a 96-hour hold. This case will be referred to the prosecuting attorney’s office.
