March 28

Officer Dylan Cook received a call from a resident of the nursing home letting officers know of a subject sleeping outside “in the hay”. Officer Cook spoke with the nurses and found the individual not in the right state of mind and suffering from a hallucination.

Officer Cook spoke to a couple having an altercation. He advised them of judicial remedies.

Officer Dylan Vice cleared trash from the roadway.

Officer Vice investigated suspicious activity reported by a Walmart employee regarding an individual lingering outside the building with several shopping bags. He found the individual waiting for a ride after completing their shopping.

Asst. Chief Stetson Schwien responded to an accidental alarm at a bank. 

Asst. Chief Schwien responded to a verbal disturbance. He remained until the parties separated and the situation de-escalated. 

March 29

Officer Kris Reinholdt assisted the fire department as they extinguished a fire during the burn ban.

Officer Vice conducted a requested wellbeing check and rendered assistance to the individual.

Asst. Chief Schwien assisted with a death investigation. 

Officers spoke to two individuals requesting information or assistance and issued six traffic warnings.

March 30

Lt. Trenton Roberts investigated a non-injury single vehicle accident. 

Cpl. Kylie McGee received a call reporting a domestic incident. Investigation found two individuals moving a fridge to retrieve an item that fell underneath it.

Cpl. McGee investigated a minor vehicle accident and arrested the driver for an outstanding warrant.

March 31

Cpl. McGee assisted Howell County Sheriff’s Office with the search of a vehicle.

Cpl. McGee assisted Howell County Sheriff’s Office with locating an individual with an outstanding warrant. 

Officer Vice spoke with an individual concerned about a scam.

Officer Reinholdt arrested an individual for an outstanding warrant.

Officer Reinholdt investigated a commercial alarm.

Officers spoke to three individuals requesting information or assistance and issued two traffic warnings.

April 1

Cpl. McGee assisted an individual with an outstanding warrant.

Cpl. Alexis Johnson conducted a traffic stop when the driver became aggressive, she took them into custody.

April 2

Cpl. McGee spoke to an individual reporting a neighbor threatened their dogs. 

Cpl. McGee assisted Howell County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop.

Officer Koleman McDaniel received a call of a suspicious person attempting to enter buildings. He took the suspect into custody.

March 3

Officer Cook responded to a call reporting possible domestic abuse. Investigation found both parties stating they were being intimate, hence the yelling.

Cpl. McGee spoke to an individual with concerns regarding a child refusing to go to school.

Asst. Chief Schwien responded to Taco Bell for a theft report.

Asst. Chief Schwien took report of fraud from West Plains Bank. The case will be under investigation.

Asst. Chief Schwien assisted EMS with a medical call.
