Calls for Service

November 10

Deputy Kory M. Taylor responded to a call for service on County Road 6690 in West Plains in regards to an assault that had taken place. Information was gathered and a report was taken.

Deputies investigated a complaint of the destruction of personal property and stealing. Investigation could not confirm the destruction of property, and the stealing was a civil matter.

Deputy Avery A. Stolba made contact with an individual who wanted to report child custody issues.

Deputy Kory M. Taylor applied for and was granted a search warrant for a residence on County Road 4990 in Willow Springs Missouri. On November 11, 2025 the search warrant was executed on the property. The execution of the search warrant resulted in the recovery of a total of 13.85 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 5 "loaded" syringes containing suspected methamphetamine, two different types of pills which are both considered a controlled substance, a digital scale, multiple used syringes, multiple glass smoking devices commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, and 6 firearms. Both occupants of the home were arrested for delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of a firearm and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention enter where they were placed on a 24 hour hold.

November 11

While traveling northbound on State Route 17 approximately 7 miles south of West Plains, a deer struck the drivers side of County vehicle #2721.

Deputy Austin L. Ryan was notified of a victim wishing to file a report for stealing. Contact was made with the victim, and information as gathered for a report.

Deputies responded to a location in Brandsville, MO to conduct a welfare check on two juveniles.

Deputy First Class Robert Malone took a report of a possible stealing by phone that occurred in Willow Springs, MO. located in Howell County, MO.

Deputy Avery A. Stolba responded to an address on State Route AB, West Plains for a burglary report.

November 12

An individual contacted the Howell County Sheriff's Office to report that his business is being scammed. A cybercrime report was filed and sent to the FBI in an attempt to get the website taken down.

Deputy First Class Robert Malone conducted a traffic stop on County Road 6970 in West Plains, MO. The Driver of the vehicle was arrested after further investigation and transported to the Howell County Sheriffs Office.

November 13

While performing duties as SRO at the West Plains Middle School, I, Deputy Leekota B. Amore, heard a juvenile make threatening statements to another student. This case should be considered closed at this time.

November 14

Deputy Nicholas Barslow was notified by dispatch of an accidental shooting which occurred in the area of County Road 7480, West Plains, MO 65775. The Victim received treatment at Ozarks Healthcare Emergency Department, and no charges will be submitted at this time.

Deputy Brandon D. Barnes received a call for service at Howell County Sheriff's Office in regards to a custody dispute.

Deputy Michael Pauly received a call of a death at the Willow Springs Airport as Deputy Coroner.

November 15

Deputy Brandon D. Barnes received a call or service in Willow Springs in regards to a domestic disturbance between a father and his son. The father suffered a laceration on the left side of his chin and the son was transported to Howell County Jail pending formal charges.

November 16

Deputy Austin L. Ryan was dispatched to the area of Highway 137 referencing a death investigation. Contact was made with the reporting party, and information was gathered for a report.

Deputy First Class Robert Malone was dispatched to a call of a missing/run-away juvenile from the Mountain View area.

Deputies responded to County Road 4620 West Plains, MO for the report of a stealing complaint regarding construction work that was paid for yet not started. The investigation is ongoing.
