Calls for Service

April 21

Deputy Tyler Ryan responded to a possible domestic altercation on County Road 9790. He advised the Oregon County Sheriff's Office of the situation.

Deputy First Class Talon Millard received a request for an agency assist at a residence on County Road 7880

of West Plains. During an investigation at the residence, officers seized narcotic substances, and a stolen vehicle. They obtained a search warrant of the residence and located more possible narcotics and a firearm. Charges will be filed with the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.

Deputy Nicholas Barslow received information of items stolen in the area of Corn Ave, Willow Springs.

Deputy Michael Pauly responded to a call of a death on Porter Wagoner, West Plains as Deputy Coroner.

April 22

Deputy Hunter Ward responded to an animal bite on State Route N in Pomona. EMS transported the victim to OZH for medical care. This case will be forwarded to the Department of Health.

Deputy First Class T. Millard received a call of stealing on County Road 6540 near West Plains.

Deputy Ryan responded to County Road 6980 in West Plains, to a residence claiming a bullet struck their home. This case should be considered closed.

Members of the "Operation Relentless Pursuit" Fugitive Task Force assisted the South Central Drug Task Force and West Plains PD and Howell County SO with a narcotics trafficking investigation and warrant service operation in the West Plains area of Howell County and advised them of a wanted fugitive, parole absconder with violent criminal tendencies. They identified the subject and executed the warrant. The subject immediately fled from the location on foot and officers apprehended them a short distance away.

Deputy Kory M. Taylor took a report of stealing.

April 23

Deputy Nicholas Barslow received a report of an animal trespass in the area of US Highway 60, Mountain View.

Corporal Travis Weaver responded to a residence in Peace Valley for the report of a possible child abuse.

April 24

Deputy Dylan Vice took a report of a burglary in Pomona. 

Deputy Chancey Hambelton took a report of a disturbance on State Route AA.

Deputy Vice assisted Children’s Division with an investigation.

Deputy Avery Stolba and other deputies executed an arrest warrant on County Road 7040, Pottersville. The individual fled into the residence. Concerned the individual may have a firearm, Howell County SWAT responded to assist, and officers arrested and transported the subject to the Howell County Sheriff's Office.

Corporal Nicholas Bruno responded to a business on US Highway 160 in reference to a well-being check.

April 25

The Howell County SWAT assisted with the execution of a narcotics search warrant with West Plains SRT, the South Central Drug Task Force, and the Relentless Pursuit Fugitive Task Force, at a residence on County Road 4000 in West Plains. They took the suspects into custody and seized approximately twelve ounces of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine.

Deputy A. Ryan responded to the area of State Route Y in Mountain View in reference to a stolen vehicle. Officers recovered and towed the vehicle.

Deputy Hambelton responded to a report of a domestic altercation located on State Route PP in West Plains. Officers separated both parties no charges will be filed.

April 27

Deputy Barslow responded to a physical domestic disturbace the area of County Road 4210 in West Plains.
