Calls for Service

September 15

Deputy Austin Ryan conducted a warrant arrest.

Lt. Jason Long spoke to a member of the South Central Drug Task Force with information regarding a wanted fugitive out of our agency. The information provided by the SCDTF Officer led to the arrest of Richard Crabtree while walking on Lincoln Street in West

Plains.

Deputy Devon Mendenhall received information of an assault in Pomona. He contacted both parties involved, and no apparent injuries were observed.

Corporal Jacob Hamby responded to State Route E in West Plains for a scam or stealing call. 

Deputy Hunter Ward took a report of a possible forgery. This case is pending further investigation.

September 16

Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a violation of a court order in the area of County Road 1770, West Plains.

Officers assisted Childrens Division at Glenwood school to investigate a child abuse report. The 

investigation is ongoing at this time

Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to a disturbance. His investigation of the matter involved a juvenile subject. He placed a hotline call. and no charges will be sought at this time.

Deputy Avery Stolba responded to an address on County Road 4990, Willow Springs for a harassment and threats call.

Deputy Stolba responded to an address on County Road 9110, West Plains for a previous domestic assault report.

September 17

Howell County SWAT responded to a residence on Main Street in Willow Springs for a barricaded subject.

Deputy Ward accidently struck a fence while conducting a search warrant on Joe Jones Boulevard.

Corporal Hamby responded to County Road 4990 in Willow Springs for a report of a disturbance.

The Howell County Sheriff's Office received numerous calls and 911 transfers regarding a male subject walking along the roadway that appeared to be intoxicated.

Deputy Michael Pauly took a report of a domestic altercation involving an intoxicated person.

September 18

Deputy Brandon Barnes received a call for service regarding a vehicle crash on County Road 6590.

Deputy Barnes took a report of a theft.

Deputy Pauly responded to a death investigation on Woodland Ave in West Plains as Deputy Coroner.

Deputy Pauly received a call of property damage at the Start Mart in Pomona, County Road 1330.

Deputy Roberts responded to County Road 8030 for a report of fraudulent bank activity.

Deputy Roberts spoke with individuals in the parking lot of the Sheriff’s Department having a disagreement. Both parties separated. 

September 19

Deputy Austin DeShazo arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.

Deputy Kyle Hambelton responded to State Route N in Pomona for a death investigation.

Deputy DeShazo responded to an address on County Road 9300, West Plains for a report of a domestic violence incident. After an investigation he determined a verbal altercation had occurred.

September 20

Deputy DeShazo responded to 9613 State Route 17, West Plains for a report of property damage.
