Calls for Service

September 8

Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a burglary call in the area of State Route 14.

Deputy Hunter Ward initiated a traffic stop on US Highway 63 in West Plains. He arrested one subject for an active warrant out of Woodward Township Police Department in Pennsylvania.

Deputy Michael Pauly received a call of found property on US Highway 160 West Plains. He took the property for holding pending the owner's identification.

Deputy Pauly received a call of property damage on County Road 3740, Mountain View.

Corporal Travis Weaver responded to the State Route AA, in Willow Springs for a harassment report.

Deputy Pauly responded to a call on County Road 3280, Willow Springs observed a dark motorcycle pass him on the county road. Willow Springs Police Officer Turnbull flagged him down and reported the motorcycle didn’t stop for his attempted traffic stop. Deputy Pauly observed the motorcycle nearly run into the back of an ambulance. He arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.

September 9

Deputy Kory Taylor conducted a traffic stop on State Route 142, Moody. He arrested the driver

for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Corporal Jacob Hamby responded to County Road 2380 in Pomona for a report of an assault. He took the suspect into custody and charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor.

Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to a domestic assault call on US-160 in West Plains. After an investigation he arrested a suspect. 

Deputy Devon Mendenhall responded to a report of a burglary call in West Plains. Neither victim wished to pursue charges, just document the incident.

Deputy Avery Stolba spoke with an individual reporting a violation of an order of protection.

Deputy Pauly received a call for a domestic altercation. He found the victim at OZH Urgent Care seeking treatment.

Deputy Stolba spoke to an individual reporting a missing person. They later located the person and found them safe.

September 10

Deputy Barslow took a report of animal trespassing in the area of County Road 5600, Willow Springs.

Deputy Chancey Hambelton conducted a traffic stop at Bullseye in Caulfield. His investigation led to the arrest of the driver for driving while their license is revoked or suspended. 

Deputy Brandon Barnes received a call for service regarding a neighbor trespassing.

Deputy Hambelton spoke to an individual reporting packages stolen from their porch.

Deputy Roberts responded to County Road 8800 in West Plains for a trespassing complaint.

September 11

Deputy Austin DeShazo responded to a residence on State Route AA, Willow Springs for a report of trespassing. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

Deputy Roberts responded to State Route E in West Plains for a report of property damage.

September 12

Deputy Hambelton responded to County Road 8030 for a domestic incident. All parties involved did not wish to press charges.

Deputy Leekota Amore spoke to an assistant principal at the West Plains Middle School regarding a student making disturbing comments. This case will be forwarded to the Juvenile Office.

September 13

Deputy Hambelton investigated a report of an individual stealing round bales near County Road 7100 and County Road 6390. He is currently awaiting camera footage.

Deputy Mendenhall spoke to an individual concerned about messages on their daughter's phone.

September 14

Deputy Ryan took a report of property damage to a vehicle.

Deputy Barslow responded to a violation of a court order, in the area of State Route Y, Mountain View.

Deputy Malone arrested an individual on outstanding warrants.

Cpl. Hamby arrested an individual on outstanding warrants.

Deputy Stolba worked with a children's division investigator with court order paperwork to take a juvenile into judicial custody. They located the juvenile and handed them over to the children's division investigator.
