Calls for Service

August 25

Deputy Chancey Hambelton executed a search warrant off of County Road 7320 in Caulfield. Officers arrested three individuals and transported them to the Howell County Sheriff's Office pending charges.

Deputy Devon Mendenhall took a report of stealing motor vehicle in Pomona. Later the victim advised him the suspect returned the vehicle. Deputy Mendenhall responded to the suspects location and placed them under arrest and on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a civil matter in the area of County Road 1710, West Plains. 

Deputy Barslow took a report of stealing.

Deputy First Class Robert Malone took a report involving child custody matters.

Deputy Avery Stolba took a report of property damage to an abandoned house.

Deputy First Class Malone responded to State Route PP for a report of a domestic altercation taking place in a vehicle. This case will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for further review.

Deputy Kory Taylor responded to County Road 2900 in Mountain View to make contact with an individual involved in a domestic dispute.

August 26

The Howell County SWAT, assisted by West Plains SRT executed a search warrant at a residence in Caulfield, Mo. During the execution of a warrant for a stolen camper trailer and a cargo trailer, Officers recovered them and also illegal narcotics and several firearms. They took three subjects into into custody and formal charges will be pursued.

Deputy Hunter Ward took a report of alleged identity theft on County Road 5090 in West Plains.

Deputy Austin Ryan took a report of a stolen camera.

Corporal Jacob Hamby responded to County Road 6720 in Pottersville in regard to a trespassing call.

Deputy Ward assisted with a child custody issue and made sure the children were with the court appointed guardian.

August 27

Corporal Travis Weaver conducted a traffic in Willow Springs. During the investigation approximately 95.11 grams of a white powder that field tested positive for cocaine and a handgun were located. They arrested two suspects and held them at the Howell County Jail on a 24 hour hold.

Deputy Taylor responded to a residence on State Route K in regard to a domestic dispute.

Deputy Ryan responded to the area of US Highway 160 in reference to a stealing report.

Deputy Collins took a report of a burglary at a business located on Kathrine Drive in West Plains. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

August 28

Deputy Brandon Barnes received a call for service for an individual ordered to a 96-hour mental evaluation.

Deputy Trenton Roberts took a missing persons’ report.

Deputy Vice provided warrant service on Private Road 8650, West Plains.

August 29

Deputy Austin DeShazo responded to a business located on U.S. Highway 160, West Plains, for a report of a gas drive off. During the investigation the customer returned and paid for the fuel. This case shall be considered closed.

August 30

Deputy Hambelton responded to Cedar St. in West Plains for property damage and burglary report. No charges will be filed since all parties involved came to their own resolution.

Deputy Barnes received a call for service in regard to a domestic disturbance.

Deputy DeShazo responded to the area of County Road 1930 and Private Road 1260, West Plains for a report of yelling. A short time later, deputies located an individual at the residence, screaming and yelling. After an investigation, they arrested the subject for disturbing the peace. They transported the subject to the Howell County Sheriff's Office Jail on a twenty-four-hour hold. This case is being referred to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

August 31

Deputy Ward took a report of alleged domestic abuse occurring on County Road 8240 in West Plains.

Deputy Ward took a report of alleged trespassing on State Route 14 in West Plains. He transported one subject from the property.

Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 1770 in reference to a domestic incident.

Deputy Stolba received a call for a child custody matter.
