August 18
Deputy Austin Ryan took a report of a violation of a child protection order.
Deputy Tyler Ryan responded to US Highway 60 for a disturbance.
Deputy Ryan conducted a traffic stop on County Road 2570 in West Plains. During the investigation he conducted a search of the vehicle and arrested the passenger for possession of a controlled substance.
August 19
Deputy Kory Taylor responded to a residence on County Road 3280 for an unresponsive individual.
Deputy Hunter Ward conducted a traffic stop on Emilee Drive in West Plains. After an investigation, he placed the driver under arrest for a 24 hour hold pending charges regarding endangering the welfare of a child. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County
Prosecutors Office.
Deputy Ryan took a report of threats. 
Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a call of property damage in the area of County Road 8240, West Plains.
Corporal Travis Weaver responded to county road 4620 in Pomona for the report of possible abuse and neglect of a vulnerable person.
August 20
Deputy Barslow responded to a call of animal neglect in the area of State Route K, West Plains.
Deputy Barslow conducted a wellbeing check and possible missing person in the area of County Road 8970, West Plains.
Deputy Barslow took a report of possible drug trafficking in the area of State Route AB, West Plains.
Deputy Trenton Roberts responded to County Road 7040 in Pottersville for a missing person report. They later located the missing person safe in West Plains.
August 21
Deputy Chancey Hambelton conducted a traffic stop located on County Road 6310 off of AB Highway. The operator of the motor vehicle did not possess a valid driver's license and consented to a search of the vehicle. Officers located suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle. 
Deputy Brandon Barnes received a call for service in regard to fuel being stolen from a vehicle.
Deputy Barnes received a call for service in regard to an assault that occurred earlier in the day.
Deputy Barnes took a report of property damage.
Deputy Barnes investigated a report of a domestic disturbance. 
Deputy Vice responded to County Road 3940 for an individual experiencing a mental health crisis.
August 22
Deputy Trenton Roberts responded to State Route EE in West Plains for a verbal domestic.
Deputy Vice responded to Lanton Road for an anonymous tip concerning a suspect failing to abide by the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. His investigation into the report found no basis for the claim. 
August 23
Deputy Austin DeShazo responded to a residence located on County Road 1080, West Plains for a death investigation. This case will be considered closed. 
Deputy Vice responded to Christopher St. West Plains for a road rage incident on County Road 2570, West Plains. The victim did not wish to file charges. 
August 24
Deputy Hunter Ward took a report of alleged harassment on County Road 2010 in Pomona. This case is pending further investigation.
Deputy Barslow responded to a call of lost property in the area of County Road 8830, West Plains.
Deputy Taylor took a report of a stolen license plate.
 
Publisher’s note: The August 20 edition of Howell County News incorrectly reported that Bo Bradley Kenslow, 37, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving while revoked/suspended - second or third offense, failed to display plates on motor vehicle/trailer, failure to maintain proof of financial responsibility, operate vehicle on highway without a valid license - first offense. Kenslow’s August 9 arrest was a warrant arrest for a failure to appear for charges filed in April.
