Calls for Service

March 17

Deputy Kory Taylor responded to the area of County Road 8240 in West Plains in reference to an ongoing domestic dispute.

Cpl. Dylan Webb responded to a residence on State Route K, West Plains for a death investigation. No foul play is suspected in the death.

Deputy Hunter Ward took a report of forgery. The case will be forwarded to the Howell County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division.

Deputy Nicholas Barslow took a report of an alleged harassment near the area of County Road 4100 in West Plains.

March 18

Deputy Taylor took a report of a possible stolen cell phone.

Deputy First Class Talon Millard received a call for stolen property on County Road 8800 near West

Plains. No charges will be filed at this time. 

Deputy First Class Millard received a call about stolen property on County Road 8030 near West

Plains. No charges will be filed at this time. 

Cpl. Webb with emergency medical personnel and first responders responded to a residence on

County Road 2350, Pomona for an unresponsive individual. They declared the individual deceased at the scene. No foul play is suspected in the death.

Deputy Ward responded to an alleged report of harassment on State Route AB in West Plains. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office.

Deputy Barslow received a report of a juvenile acting out in the area of County Road 4730, West Plains.

March 19

Deputy Tyler Ryan responded to County Road 8530 to a burglary. He took information and photos for a report.

While serving as School Resource Officer at West Plains Middle School, Deputy Shannon Sisney received notification of an assault in the West Plains Middle School gym between two students. The matter will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Office for review.

Deputy Chancey Hambelton conducted a traffic stop at the Signal gas station in Mountain View. A K9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search discovered suspected narcotics along with drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. 

Deputy Hambelton investigated a claim someone started a fire on the property and it burnt down an outbuilding.

March 20

Cpl. Bruno began an investigation into a report of someone impersonating Police Officer.

Deputy Ryan responded to Ozarks Healthcare Emergency Room, in reference to a gunshot wound victim. 

While conducting duties as School Resource Officer at the ZPA building, Deputy First Class Lisboa received information regarding an out-of-control student. 

Deputy First Class Malone and his K-9 assisted the West Plains Police Department with a fleeing subject on First Street in West Plains.

March 21

Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 1820 in Pomona with Children's Division for an investigation.

Deputy Avery Stolba contacted a Children's Division employee who needed assistance with an ongoing investigation.

Deputy Blaise Dudding conducted a requested well-being check in West Plains. 

Deputy Michael Pauly received a call of an individual possibly assaulted in a field on County Road 2980 near Willow Springs.

March 22

Deputy First Class Meacham responded to Private Road 4010 for a disturbance. Due to no physical evidence of an assault, no arrests will be made.

Deputy First Class Meacham responded to County Road 1740 for littering.

March 23

Deputy Taylor responded to a business on County Road 1280 in regards to a storage unit allegedly broken into.
