March 3
Deputy First Class Talon Millard received a call for a domestic disturbance on County Road 1770
near West Plains. No charges will be filed at this time. This case is considered closed.
Deputy Kory Taylor responded to a property damage/stealing report at a residence at County Road 6970 in West Plains.
Deputy First Class Millard received a call for a domestic disturbance on U.S. Highway 60 near Willow Springs. Investigation found narcotic substances on the property and officers completed a search warrant at the residence. They arrested two subjects, and formal charges are pending the lab results of the narcotics located at the scene.
Deputy Hunter Ward received information reporting an alleged stealing incident on Private Road 5094 in West Plains.
Corporal Jacob Hamby received a call for service in regards to a dog bite at County Road 5150 West Plains.
Deputy Devon Mendenhall investigated a property damage call in Caulfield.
Deputy Ward received a call reporting alleged stealing on Private Road 5634 in Willow Springs. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a domestic call in the area of Peace Valley.
Deputy Barslow responded to a residence in the area of Missouri St. in Mountain View for an order of protection violation.
March 4
Deputy Barslow responded to a trespassing call in the area of State Route P.
Deputies with the Howell County Sheriff's Office and Willow Springs Ambulance personnel
responded to a residence on County Road 5800, west of Willow Springs. Deputies arrived at the residence and located a deceased individual in the back yard.
Corporal Travis Weaver attempted to initiate a traffic stop on St. Louis Street in West Plains. The vehicle failed to yield to emergency lights and audible siren, fleeing at a high rate of speed through town running multiple stop signs before the pursuit ended after the suspect failed to negotiate a corner, crashing into a tree in the front yard of an uninvolved party’s house. Officers took the suspect into custody and formal charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
March 5
Corporal John Thomas responded to a verbal domestic call in Pomona. The case will be closed.
Deputy Trenton Roberts responded to a call of suspected animal abuse on County Road 5010. No charges will be filed.
Deputy Roberts took a report of a court order of protection. No charges will be sent to the prosecuting attorney due to lack of evidence at this time.
Corporal Bruno took a report of a possible court order violation of an order of protection.
March 6
Deputy Austin Ryan took a report of stolen mail.
Deputy Stolba took a report of a physical domestic incident that occurred previously. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors Office for further review.
Deputy Roberts responded to County Road 6850 West Plains for a domestic dispute and a property damage complaint. No charges will be filed due to lack of evidence.
Deputies responded to West US Highway 160, West Plains to serve a warrant on an individual. At the residence, officers found a second subject with an outstanding warrant. They arrested both.
Deputy Ryan initiated a traffic stop near County Road 7140 and gained consent to search the
vehicle the driver. While in the course of the search he located a glass smoking device known for the use of narcotics. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Deputy Chancey Hambelton took a report of a theft of a phone, credit cards, social security card, along with the individual’s driver's license.
Deputy First Class Malone responded to a domestic disturbance call on Private Road 6922.
March 7
Deputy Hambelton conducted a traffic stop and the operator of the vehicle granted consent to search. Investigation found paraphernalia located during the search of the vehicle. Due to the cooperation of the operator no charges are pending.
Corporal Bruno took a report of an assault involving a juvenile. This case is ongoing.
Deputy Malone responded to a disturbance on Private Road 6801. Investigation resulted in a subject trespassed from the property.
March 8
Corporal Bruno responded to a residence in Brandsville in reference to a domestic disturbance. No criminal charges will be filed during this incident.
Deputy Blaise Dudding responded to an assault at State Route K, West Plains. Charges will be filed with the prosecutor's office.
