Calls for Service

February 24

Deputy Hunter Ward received notice of an alleged property damage on State Route OO in Caulfield.

Deputy Kory Taylor spoke to an individual regarding a report of stealing. The individual provided home security camera footage of the event.

Deputy Devon Mendenhall responded to a report of a court order violation in progress in Willow Springs. The subject left the scene prior to his arrival.

Deputy Nicholas Barslow assisted an individual with a bondsman, having their Taney County bond revoked at the Howell County Sheriff's Office. The individual held drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance on their person and in a bag in their possession.  

February 25

Deputy Taylor arrested an individual with an outstanding warrant.

Deputy First Class Talon Millard received a call for an assault on County Road 2570 near Pomona. Charges have not been filed at this time.

Deputy Jordon Collins responded to a residence located on County Road 7050 in Caulfield for a report of a stolen vehicle. They recovered the vehicle later the same evening. This case is closed.

Deputy Mendenhall received notified of young juvenile walking on a County Road near Mountain View unsupervised. He conducted a wellbeing check conducted and completed a hot line call. 

Deputy Barslow responded to a call of an individual with suicidal ideations in the area of County Road 8240 and Bratton Ave, West Plains.

February 26

Deputy Avery Stolba took a report of a court order violation. Some allegations made are already under investigation. 

Deputy Stolba spoke with an individual at the sheriff's who wanted a background check. After running the individual's information, he discovered the individual had an active no-bond warrant out of Sharp County, Arkansas.

Deputy Ward received notice of alleged harassment on County Road 9230 in Koshkonong. He advised judicial remedies after the victim stated they did not want to pursue any charges.

Deputy Ward responded to an out-of-control juvenile on County Road 6970. He contacted the Juvenile Office regarding this incident.

February 27

A minor vehicle collision occurred in the parking lot of Howell County Sheriff’s Office involving Sheriff Matthew Roberts.

Deputy First Class Lisboa conducted duties as the School Resource Officer at the ZPA building off Jackson St, in the city of West Plains. A student and parent asked to talk to the principal of ZPA and the officer regarding the student attendance and it became a truancy case.

Deputy Stolba took a report of possible stalking.

Deputy Chancey Hambelton arrested an individual on an outstanding out of state warrant.

Deputy First Class Brandon Meachum responded to County Road 6970 for a domestic assault.

Deputy First Class Malone took a report of a possible court order violation.

Deputy First Class Malone took a report of possible identity theft. 

February 28

Glenwood School officials notified law enforcement of a student possibly in possession of a controlled substance. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Deputy Stolba spoke with an individual reporting her juvenile daughter sent inappropriate photos to individuals in exchange for money. An investigation is underway for this case.

Corporal Bruno took a report of an interference with child custody.

Deputy First Class Meachum took a report of property damage. 

Deputy First Class Meachum responded to County Road 3330 for a wellbeing check. A probable cause affidavit will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor’s Office for domestic assault 2nd degree.

March 1

Deputy First Class Robert Malone responded to a disturbance call on County Road 6420 in Pottersville.

March 2

Deputy First Class Millard received a call of an assault on State Route K. No charges will be filed at this time. This case is considered closed.

Deputy Kory Taylor responded to a residence on County Road 1540 in regards to a dog bite.

Deputy Collins responded to a business located on State Route N in Pomona for a report of harassment. Investigation discovered an intoxicated juvenile. They placed the juvenile into custody and transported to the Ozarks HealthCare Emergency Room for medical treatment.

Deputy Taylor responded to a violation of a court order on State Route WW Mountain View.

Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a trespassing call in the area of Pomona.
