Calls for Service

November 17

Deputy Avery Stolba took a report of harassment.

Corporal Travis Weaver took a report victim wanting to report an order of protection violation. Formal charges will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney’s office.

November 18

Deputy Kory Taylor responded to a residence on County Road 8580, West Plains, for a report of a stolen vehicle.

While on routine patrol, Deputy Roam observed a property damage only, motor vehicle accident and stopped to investigate.

Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at Willow Springs Apartments.

Deputy Devon Mendenhall responded to a possible emergency incident in progress on County Road 9110, West Plains. After his investigation he arrested a suspect and transported them to the Howell County Jail.

Deputy Taylor received a call for service for a wellbeing check of an individual walking on County Road 4910 in Pomona with no shoes or shirt and possibly disoriented. When the individual heard law enforcement approaching, they fled into the woods across the county road. An investigation determined the individual matched the description of a suspect who fled from a traffic stop earlier in the day with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Officers located the individual in the wooded area using a drone. A K9 team along with other deputies were deployed and took the suspect into custody for an outstanding burglary warrant out of Texas County.

Deputy Kyle Hambelton conducted a traffic stop on a and found the driver of the vehicle in possession of approximately 5.5 ounces of suspected methamphetamine and a firearm. Shortly after, officers executed a search warrant on the residence of the driver. Officers seized illegal narcotics, along with approximately 37 firearms from the residence. They arrested the driver and transported them to the Howell County Sheriff's Office pending charges.

November 19

Deputy Michael Pauly received a call of a dog bite on Allen Street that allegedly happened in the county.

While transporting an inmate to Chillicothe Correctional Center, Deputy Dylan Cook had a motor vehicle accident.

Deputy Pauly received a call regarding a domestic altercation matter on County Road 8580.

November 21

Corporal Timothy Gordon took a report of a previously occurring domestic incident. He investigated the allegations, and a probable cause statement will be forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review.

November 23

Deputy Ryan took a report of a child custody issue.
