Paul Thomas Ordway

Paul Thomas Ordway was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on July 26, 1947, to William and Helen (McBride) Ordway. He went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2023, in West Plains, Missouri.
Paul's family moved to Miami, Florida, when he was 9 years old. He married his wife, Brenda, on February 15, 1968. Paul joined the army in 1967 and was sent to Vietnam in November of 1968-1969. When he returned home from Vietnam, he worked for Lucent Technology and retired at 52. He then received his degree from Trinity University and moved to Mountain View, Missouri, in 2021 to pastor at Chapel Hill Church and then later became the pastor at Faith Baptist Church of Summersville. Paul also spent time subbing at Liberty High School and was the assistant baseball coach. 
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda (Padgett) Ordway; his two sons, Derrik, 54, and Sean, 52; four grandchildren, Crystal, 33, Kyle, 32, Bryce, 25, and Kaitlyn, 22; and five great-grandchildren, Jetaime, 14, Jazlyn, 13, Kyndall, 11, Easton, 9, and Brayden, 1. 
Paul loved teaching God's word and enjoyed subbing and coaching at LHS. He was proud to have served his country. He loved the Lord and his family and will be missed by many. 
A memorial service was held April 17, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Pastor William Thompson officiating. Inurnment will be in Howell Memorial Park, Pomona, Missouri, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and left at the funeral home.
