No sugarcoating: board should be ashamed

First off, I want to thank you for all your hard work getting to the bottom of the school board’s boondoggle. There is no way to sugarcoat my remarks. 

 

It gripes me to no end to see the way all that money was wasted. I live on Social Security, so my income isn’t all that great. Last year, I paid $,1517 to the R-4 school district. Not only to I not have any kids in school – I never have, but I still have to pay taxes – and to see waste makes me mad. 

 

There are five board members who do nothing but possibly play checkers at the meetings because they don’t take care of business. 

 

Now to Marty Spence. There is nothing on God’s green Earth he can do that is worth three times the average teacher’s pay. If he was any kind of man, he would forfeit all the pay for the current year. 

 

The district can’t afford the current board and superintendent for the rest of the year or they will probably bankrupt the district. There is more to life than sports. 

 

In the past, we have had boards who questioned spending. Unfortunately, there are not there. 

 

I really don’t have much more to say except they should all hang their heads in shame.
