Sabrina Catharine Lindaman

Sabrina Catharine Lindaman, born March 4, 1979, in Creston, Iowa, passed away on December 24, 2025. A Willow Springs High School graduate in 1997, she went on to study Computer Science at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.

 

Sabrina’s life was defined by her love of music, literature, gaming of all kinds, and community. She was an avid trumpet player and could recently be seen performing at local events. A passionate reader and aspiring writer, Sabrina’s most recent short story, “Life, and the Wind,” was published in the November 2025 issue in Fruit Magazine.

 

Sabrina was a dedicated advocate for the transgender and LGBTQ+ communities in Springfield, serving as Chair of the Springfield Transgender and Ally Resource Team and a valued member at The GLO Center. Sabrina most-especially cherished her role as a facilitator of the Refuge Transgender/Non-Binary Support Group, where she created a consistent, welcoming space for people to gather in friendship, find support, and feel seen.

 

She is lovingly remembered by her mother, Carolyn Lindaman, of Willow Springs, Missouri; sisters, Theresa (Lindaman) Kiddoo, of Eagle River, Wisconsin and Bobbi Lindaman, of Largo, Florida; brother, Jeffrey Lindaman and wife Shizuka, of Saint David, Arizona; Nephew, Cade Kiddoo, wife Morgan, and great-niece, Maggie Kiddoo, of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 

Sabrina’s kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many communities she served.

 

Memorial Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, at Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs, Missouri.
