Calls for Service

July 10

Officer Megan Barnes took a report of possible violations of a court order of protection. The report will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney.

Officer Barnes spoke to an individual reporting damage to a vehicle.

Officer Barnes took a report of a physical domestic altercation taking place earlier in the day. She arrested the suspect. 

Officer Barnes spoke with an individual reporting lost or stolen medication.

July 11

Officer Matthew Combs assisted EMS with a medical call. 

July 12

Asst. Chief Trenton Roberts responded to Mercy Thrift Store for an individual stealing donations from in front of the store. He gathered Information but did not locate the suspect.

Asst. Chief Roberts spoke to an individual reporting squatters. He did not locate anyone on the property in question.

Officer Combes responded to an assault call. The victim did not wish to pursue charges.

July 13

Officer Jacob Brixey spoke with an individual reporting trespassers on their property. The caller spoke to the individuals via security cameras, but they did not leave. Officer Brixey found the individuals and advised them of the trespassing issue.

Officer Brixey responded to a report of a possible break-in. The investigation is ongoing.

July 14

Chief Stetson Schwien investigated a one vehicle roll over accident. EMS transported the driver. 

Chief Schwien responded to an alarm via Apple watch. He found an individual had fallen and needed EMS. EMS arrived on scene and transported them to the hospital.

Chief Schwien investigated a minor vehicle accident involving a semi-truck.

July 15

Officer Brixey conducted a requested wellbeing check of an individual whose indoor dog spent all day outside. He found the individual fine.

Officer Barnes assisted an individual with an outstanding warrant with posting bond.

Chief Schwien investigated a two vehicle non-injury accident. 

Officer Brixey spoke with individuals regarding a stealing report. 

July 16

Officer Combs spoke with an individual reporting they found the back glass of their vehicle broken.

Officer Combs assisted Oregon County Sheriff’s Office with an investigation. 

Chief Schwien took a call reporting a family dispute. 

 

For the week officers: officers assisted with one animal call, followed up with one previous investigation, spoke with three people requesting information and issues eleven traffic warnings.
