Calls for Service
January 19
Corporal Jacob Hamby responded to State Route WW in Mountain View for a call of an individual stating they received a gunshot to their head.
Deputy Nicholas Barslow responded to a call about a possible hostage situation occurring in the area of County Road 8040, West Plains. Officers retrieved all four children from the scene and EMS transported them for evaluation. They found the suspect self-inflicted a gunshot wound to the head and EMS transported them for treatment.
Deputy Brandon Barnes received a call for service regarding an assault occurring during a house fire. He arrested one individual after speaking with both parties. 
Deputy Kyle Holloway received a call for service on State Route K for a child custody dispute in West Plains.
January 20
Deputy Kory M. Taylor OSN 266 received a call for service on County Road 3250 in regard to sexual abuse incident.
Deputy First Class Melanie Roam documented an incident involving an inmate that fell while entering the van for transport van at the Howell County Court House.
Deputy Devon Mendenhall conducted a traffic stop on State Route K and arrested the driver for driving while suspended or revoked. 
Deputy Barslow responded to a call for a domestic altercation in the area of County Road 1340, Pomona. He separated all parties and placed the 12-hour rule into effect.
January 21
Deputy Barslow conducted a warrant arrest in the lobby of the sheriff’s office. 
Deputy First Class Robert Malone took a report of a stealing on County Road 1340 in Pomona.
January 22
Deputy Austin DeShazo struck a deer on State Route JJ while responding to a call.
Deputy Avery Stolba, working under the Operation Relentless Pursuit, received information on a wanted person. He conducted a traffic stop with the assistance of other deputies and took the individual into custody. 
Deputy Chancey Hambelton conducted a traffic stop on County Road 8030 and arrested the driver for an outstanding warrant.
Deputy First Class Colter Reid responded to County Road 8530, West Plains to a report of a court order of protection violation. He located the suspect and placed them under arrest for the incident. A Probable Cause Statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
While on patrol Deputy Zachary Hodo arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
January 23
Deputy Hambelton conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Porter Waggoner. He arrested the occupants of the vehicle for possession of controlled substances. 
Deputy Holloway responded to a verbal disturbance on Private Road 2787 in Mountain View. Deputy Holloway received a call for a child custody dispute in West Plains.
Deputy Hodo investigated a possible dog bite incident on County Road 2010.
January 24
Deputy Hambelton received information pertaining to a Tier 3 registered sex offender individual in the State of Missouri has yet to register with Howell County. Charges will be sent to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for further review.
January 25
Deputy First Class Malone responded to a residence on County Road 8800 for a report of a domestic altercation. He issued trespass notices to subjects.
