January 15

Officer Joe Barnhouse assisted the fire department and EMS on East Main St.

Officer Barnhouse conducted a requested wellbeing check on North Walnut St. 

January 16

Officer Corey Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Clark responded to a disturbance on North Walnut Street. A homeowner reported a group of individuals kicking over trash cans. The homeowner confronted the group, and a physical altercation broke out, and three individuals sustained minor injuries. He issued citations to the subjects for assault. 

Officer's Barnhouse and McGinnis responded to State Route 76 for a verbal altercation. Upon the officers’ arrival, they found the parties separated and one left the scene.

Sgt. Hocking conducted a requested wellbeing check on East Sixth St. 

January 17

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officers McGinnis, Hedlesten and Barnhouse responded to a custody dispute on Corn Ave. They trespassed three parties from the property and advised the parents to contact attorneys and establish visitation legally through the courts.

Officer McGinnis assisted a motorist on the side of Bus Hwy 60-63.

Officer Hedlesten assisted a motorist on East Main St.

Officer Barnhouse assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol at the north junction of the city.

January 18

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Hedlesten took a report of an individual bitten by a cat.

Lt. Zeller assisted EMS on North Cherry Street for a suicidal individual. 

January 19

Officers Clark and Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

While on patrol, Officer Templemere located a vehicle struck by a deer parked at the airport entrance.

Lt. Zeller investigated a theft incident at Dollar General. Two individuals convinced a clerk to load store gift cards and left without paying. 

Lt. Zeller assisted a child actively resisting going with their mother for a court-mandated child custody exchange in the Willow Springs Police station parking lot. The child claimed being afraid of the mother and being hurt and put back in the hospital at her hands. 

January 20

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

Officer Templemere responded to residential alarm on East Sixth Street. He found the residence secure.

January 21

Lt. Zeller investigated a non-injury vehicle accident on West Main St.

 

For the week Officers: responded to two animal calls, completed four area checks, conducted two funeral escorts, completed administrative duty, returned requested contact with eight individuals, spoke with thirteen individuals requesting information, spoke with two individuals at the police department, and issued sixteen traffic warnings.
