Calls for Service

November 27

Deputy Chief Ryan Boyle responded to a wellbeing check on Ash Street. A neighbor checked on the resident, and found them deceased. He confirmed the death the Howell County Coroner arrived and took possession of the body. They found no suspicious circumstances associated with the death.

Officer Joe Barnhouse responded to an alarm call on East Main Street. 

November 28

Deputy Chief Boyle responded to the area of Eleventh St. for a wellbeing check on a lone subject who appeared to have Down Syndrome. He and Officer Mark Templemere located the individual on Old Rolla Road, near Jason Drive and transported them to the Willow Springs Police Department. They were unable to identify the individual. Later, a parent called and reported the individual left the house while everyone slept. After a conversation with the parent, no criminal charges will issue.

Sgt. Hocking and Officer Barnhouse responded to a residence on Frisco Ave to contact an individual regarding a civil disagreement with another party. An investigation found the individual had active warrants.

Officer Barnhouse conducted a building check on Lane Street. 

Officer Barnhouse removed debris from the roadway.

November 29

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses. 

Officer Barnhouse and Gates investigated a private property, non-injury traffic crash.

Officer Barnhouse collected found property and secured it. Attempts to locate the owner are ongoing.

Officer Barnhouse investigated a non-injury vehicle accident on East Main Street. 

November 30

Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses. 

Sgt. Zeller responded to West Business 60-63 for an investigation of an intoxicated person shooting themselves in the foot. 

Officer Templemere investigated a car versus deer vehicle accident near the south junction.

Sgt. Zeller assisted EMS with a medical call. 

Sgt. Zeller spoke with an individual regarding a peace disturbance complaint.

Officer Cary Gates returned found property to the owner.

Officer Gates spoke with an individual regarding a juvenile problem.

December 1

Sgt. Zeller responded to an alarm call on Willow Road.

Sgt. Zeller conducted a wellbeing check of a driver on Eleventh Street. 

Officer Templere conducted security checks of local businesses.

December 2

Officer Templemere investigated a death on Clingan Avenue. 

Sgt. Zeller conducted a security check on an abandoned vehicle on East Main St. 

Sgt. Zeller assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

Chief Ellison and Officer Templemere conducted a wellbeing check on Clingan Avenue.

Deputy Chief Boyle conducted a wellbeing check on Pine Grove Road. 

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

December 3

Officer Templemere assisted EMS with a medical call. 

Officer Templemere investigated a non-injury vehicle accident at Industrial Drive and Railroad Drive.

Officer Templemere took a report of a private property vehicle accident.

Sgt. Zeller responded to a report of a physical domestic altercation. He contacted all parties involved.

Officer Templemere conducted security checks of local businesses.

 

For the week, officers responded to four animal calls, relayed information to eleven people, contacted three people for various matters, and issued nine traffic warnings.
