November 24
Deputy Avery Stolba conducted a traffic stop on State Route OO. He arrested the passenger of the vehicle for a warrant out of Howell County.
Sgt. Logan Wake began an investigation of messages sent from an inmate of a concerning nature.
Deputies responded to the Howell County Sheriff's Office to take a report of a violation of a protection order.
Deputies responded to a residence on State Route W Mountain View for a burglary investigation.
Cpl. Dylan Webb spoke to the South Central Child Advocacy Center in West Plains after they conducted a forensic interview with a three-year-old child. The child made disclosures with the most likely location of occurrence at a residence located in Howell County. An investigation will be ongoing.
Deputy First Class Robert Malone took a report of suspicious behavior at the White Oak Station located in Caulfield. His investigation found no crime occurred.
Deputy Kyle Holloway conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on State Route 17 in Mountain View. He arrested one passenger and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending charges. A probable cause statement will be submitted to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. He released a second passenger after an arrest for possession of controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia pending lab results.
November 25
Deputy Taylor responded to a call for service regarding a stolen vehicle from a residence on Private Road 1830 in West Plains.
Deputies responded to a location on County Road 7390 for a report of stealing and trespassing.
Deputy Ryan responded to the area of State Route 14 for a domestic dispute.
After an inmate escaped custody at the Howell County Courthouse. Deputy Paden Turnbull found the suspect vehicle, and after a short pursuit, took the suspects into custody.
Deputy Stolba took a report of a lost wallet.
Deputy Stolba with another deputy conducted a warrant arrest on State Route K, West Plains. While in the process of arresting the suspect, they attempted to flee inside of the residence. While attempting to physically restrain the suspect, they assaulted an officer. Additional changes will be filed and sent to the prosecutor’s office pending further review.
November 26
Deputy Taylor conducted a traffic route on US 60. In the course of the investigation, he noticed a firearm in plain sight. He found both occupants of the vehicle are convicted felons and arrested them.
Deputy Stolba along with deputies with the Howell County Sheriff's Office, Operation Relentless Pursuit, and the South Central Drug Task Force, conducted a warrant arrest on two individuals squatting in the woods inside West Plains city limits. They arrested both individuals.
Deputy Nicholas Barslow took a report of identity theft. This case will be under investigation.
Deputy First Class Malone responded to a residence on County Road 1680 in West Plains for a drug violation call.
Deputy Barnes received a call for service in regard to a runaway juvenile.
November 27
Deputy Hambelton assisted children’s division with an investigation on county road 4950.
Deputy Reid responded to County Road 4620, West Plains, in reference to a report of a verbal domestic disturbance. Both parties separated.
Deputy Austin DeShazo responded to a residence on County Road 3940, Mountain View, for a report of a domestic violence incident. He arrested an individual and placed them on a twenty-four hour hold as a result of the incident. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
November 28
Deputy First Class Reid responded to County Road 1280, West Plains to a report of property damage.
Deputy First Class Reid initiated a traffic stop on County Road 1750, West Plains. The vehicle failed to stop, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The vehicle stopped a short time later and they took the driver into custody. A passenger fled on foot and deputies took them into custody.
November 29
Deputy First Class Reid responded to Private Road 5123, Willow Springs in reference to a deceased individual. Due to the age and the extensive medical history, they determined the death due to natural causes.
November 30
Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 2300 referencing a missing person. They located the individual.
Deputy Stolba responded to an address on State Route 76, Willow Springs, for a report of domestic altercation.
Deputy First Malone took a report of a custody matter.
