Florida man arrested at Love’s

Willow Springs Police report they were called to Love’s Travel Center on Thursday for a man who was threatening employees with a knife. Upon arrival, officers interviewed Jeffrey Matthews, 37, of De Funiak, FL. During the interview Matthews stated he had threatened a female employee with the knife because she was conspiring with his ex-girlfriend in Nevada against him. Matthews was taken into custody and transported to West Plains Police Department for a 24-hour hold. Matthews was charged in Howell County with unlawful use of a weapon, a felony, and entered a not-guilty plea on Friday.
