Fire destroys family home

A fire destroyed a family home in Mountain View on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
The Mtn. View Fire Department was called out to 820 Harlow Road for a structure fire at 2:50 p.m. The call for mutual aid came out shortly after. Summersville Fire Department and 11 Point Rural Fire Department responded to the mutual aid call.
Firefighters arrived on scene around 3:13 p.m. at which time the structure was fully engulfed and "on the ground". A control time was called at 4:22 p.m. with firefighters clearing the scene around 7:25 p.m.

The family is in need of everything, especially clothing. Sizes for the family are:
Men-XL shirts, medium/small shirts; 36/30 jeans, 32/34 to 34/36 boot cut jeans; 9.5/10 shoes; boys size medium to large pants and shorts; large shirts; 11 shoes. Women-XS/S/M shirts; XS/S pants, 000/00 and 6 in jeans; 6-7 and 9 shoes; 36C and 34D bras. Items can be dropped off at the VFW Hall in Mtn. View, Mo. or the Career Center in West Plains, Mo.
