Donna McKinney and her son, Kurt, of The Rusty Moon Quilt & Gift Shop in Willow Springs designed, made and quilted this intricate quilt showing the Hodgson Water Mill in Dora. This famous mill is one of the most photographed mills in the United States. They have donated it to the 34th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Concert featuring Joe Nichols on March 19 at the West Plains Civic Center.
"Billy Sexton will be holding the live auction that night and this beautiful quilt, along with other donated items, will be auctioned off to help raise money for cystic fibrosis research. The doors will open at 5:00 p.m. There will be a silent auction, and raffle tickets will be available for purchase on two guns donated by 4730 Lumber of West Plains. There will be a chance to win a guitar, autographed by Joe Nichols, and Jessica's Friends will take the stage performing the opening act before Joe Nichols starts," said Rick Frazier of Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains.
Tickets are for sale in advance at $25 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at all area banks, Wood & Huston Bank at Wal-Mart Supercenter; West Plains Music; K-Kountry 95, Thayer; Simmons Bank Mtn. View and Willow Springs; West Plains Bank, Mtn.
