Fredrick Graduates from MBA Banking Leadership Missouri Program
Kim Fredrick, Branch Manager for the Willow Springs Branch of West Plains Bank and Trust Company in Willow Springs, Mo., recently graduated from the Missouri Bankers Association’s Banking Leadership Missouri program.
Fredrick was among 20 bankers throughout Missouri who completed MBA’s 18-month leadership development program designed to actively enhance the leadership, organizational and performance skills of highly motivated mid- to upper-level bankers. Courses focused on emerging bank issues, governmental relations, ethics, leadership styles, workplace culture and communications. Banking Leadership Missouri establishes a network of future bank leaders who can respond to local and national issues affecting the banking industry and their communities.
“Through Banking Leadership Missouri, Kim developed a deeper understanding of the issues affecting the banking industry,” said Max Cook, MBA president and CEO. “Kim is a leader in her community, as well as in her bank and our association.”
Fredrick joined West Plains Bank and Trust Company in 2018 and was hired to manage the now Willow Springs Branch, which opened in September 2018. A new, permanent branch was completed and opened in December 2019. Fredrick leads the team as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, with 27 years of banking experience under her belt.
West Plains Bank and Trust Company President/CEO David M. Gohn said he looks forward to Fredrick implementing the skills acquired from this school in the bank. “Fredrick was an obvious choice when considering who to send through this program. She is considered a go-getter in her position and will do a great job making good use of her newfound knowledge”.
Fredrick has lived in the Willow Springs community for 23 years and serves as the Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce Vice President and is a Willow Springs Parks Board Member.
