Antique Mall Closes, Owner Reveals Plans for New Business at the Location

Highway 60/63 Marketplace closed permanently on February 28, ending a legacy of antique malls in that location. According to owner Travis Tooley, the building will not sit vacant for long. Instead, Tooley plans to reopen this spring with an event center and auction house. 

 

Highway 60/63 Event Center will be available for rent to the public for reunions, receptions, and parties of all types. The 36 by 60 foot space will eventually be expanded to include a kitchen area and additional restrooms.

 

When not in use for events, Tooley plans to use the space for regularly scheduled consignment auctions. The first auction will be scheduled near the end of April, Tooley said. These auctions will be open to the public and will be scheduled on regular days of the week.
