Willow Springs Girls Tennis sends Lilian Weimer to State

Lilian Weimer, a senior at Willow Springs competed in the individual singles tennis tournament for Missouri State High School Girls Tennis on October 24. 
 
Weimer, a first-time qualifier, played three rounds against other Class 1 qualifiers. In round one, she fell to the eventual State Runner-up, Zaylee Rose of Columbia Independent, 6-0, 6-1. In round two, Weimer defeated Kylee Hartwick of Arcadia Valley, 6-2, 6-2. In round 3, Weimer lost to Anna Floris of North County, 6-4, 6-0.
 
Weimer is a three-year letter winner in tennis and earned All-District honors for three years. 
 
Willow Springs Tennis Coach David Cox said, “Lilian had a great season and career at Willow. She is among a small, elite group of players from Willow that got to end their career at the state tournament. She should be extremely proud of her accomplishments. She will be greatly missed in the coming years.”
