Mtn. View Garden Club celebrates winners of 2025 Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contest

The Mountain View Garden Club celebrated the winners of the 2025 Smokey Bear and Woodsy Owl Poster Contest. This year there were 58 creative, and wonderfully drawn posters that were entered into the contest from Mountain View and Birch Tree Elementary schools. As always, it was very challenging for the Contest Chairman, Erma Martin, and the other judges to choose the winners from each grade. The Mountain View Garden Club and Smith Flooring have sponsored this contest for over 30 years. The first place winners from each grade are forwarded to the Regional Garden Club contest for further judging, and then those winners continue on to the National contest. Smith Flooring provides the award money of $10 for first place, $7.50 for second place, $5.00 for third place and $2.50 for fourth place.
