Eagles Slash the Indians

The Liberty Eagles hosted the Strafford Indians for their season opener on Friday, August 26. Strafford gave the Eagles trouble right out of the gate, scoring one touchdown and a field goal in the first quarter. A couple of big plays before half time helped change the momentum for the Eagles.
With a new half, came a new Liberty football team. While the Indians seemed to be wearing out, the Eagles seemed to just be warming up. They dominated on both sides of the ball for the rest of the game and never let up. Along with touchdowns from Lucas Frazier, Carter Pruett, Kal Acklin, and Drew Ripko, Ripko also kicked several successful field goals while the Liberty defense held Strafford to their initial 7 points, finishing the game 42-7.
