Officer Clark investigated a vehicle accident on West US Hwy 60/63.
Sgt. Hocking responded to West High Street for a verbal domestic disturbance.
Sgt. Hocking and Officer Clark conducted a traffic stop on South US Hwy 63. Their initial investigation discovered the driver did not have a valid license. After placing the driver under arrest, they requested a K-9 from Howell County Sheriff’s Office. A positive alert from the K-9 led officers to a vehicle search whey they located a firearm along with suspected methamphetamine. Both driver and passenger were placed under arrest and charges will be forwarded to Howell County Prosecutors Office.

Sgt. Hocking conducted requested wellbeing check on Clingan Ave.
Officer Templemere conducted requested wellbeing check on Harris St.
Sgt. Hocking conducted a traffic stop on US HWY 63. His investigation discovered an individual had an active warrant through Thayer PD.
March 16
Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses.
Officer Templemere responded to a commercial alarm on South Harris St.
Officer McGinnis assisted MSHP with a subject posting bond on an outstanding warrant.
March 17
Lt. Zeller conducted a requested wellbeing check on North Harris St.
Lt. Zeller spoke with an individual regarding a possible scam matter.
March 18
Deputy Chief Boyle conducted a requested wellbeing check on State Route 76.
Lt. Zeller responded to State Route 76 for a possible suicidal person.
For the week Officers: conducted requested area checks for suspicious activity three times, assisted two motorists, conducted four building checks, four miscellaneous administrative duties, spoke with eight individuals requesting or giving information, returned requested contact to nine individuals, spoke with six individuals entering the department office, and issued seventeen traffic warnings.
