School Resource Officer Jeff Cunningham received information of a high school student possibly in possession of a marijuana smoking device. After conducting a probable cause search, he removed a nicotine smoking device from the backpack of the student, then located a black marijuana smoking device. He confiscated and destroyed the evidence.

Officer Barnhouse assisted Missouri State Highway Patrol on US Hwy 60/63.
Sgt. Hocking responded to a verbal disturbance on East Sixth Street.

SRO Cunningham responded to assist with a student who reportedly failed to follow directions from two administrators and was attempting self-harm.

Officer McGinnis investigated a report of stealing on North Corn Ave. 
February 28
Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses. 
Officer Corey Clark arrested a subject at Snappy Mart for an outstanding warrant. During the arrest, he found a bag with a crystal-like substance and a glass pipe with residue field testing positive for methamphetamine on the person. He transported the subject and assisted them in posting bond. Charges will be filed with the Howell County Prosecutors Office for the paraphernalia and controlled substance.
March 1
Officer Clark conducted security checks of local businesses. 
Officers McGinnis and Hedlesten responded to a well-being check on East Main St. EMS transported one subject to OZH by EMS, and had the vehicle towed.

Lt. Zeller responded to a peace disturbance report on State Route 76.

Officer Templemere received regarding a possible domestic disturbance taking place outside on E Main. He separated the parties for the evening after finding nothing beyond verbal yelling took place.

Lt. Zeller conducted a search for a runaway teenager reported leaving the park at 10th and Walnut Streets to go live with a romantic interest. They later found the juvenile at the residence.

Officer Barnhouse investigated a private property vehicle accident. 
Officer Templemere conducted a requested wellbeing check on South Center St. 
March 5 
Officer Templemere conducted security checks on local businesses. 
 
For the week officers: conducted a security check on one abandoned vehicle, completed eight animal calls, conducted three requested area checks, assisted four motorist, conducted one escort, completed two miscellaneous administrative duties, investigated one suspicious circumstance report, spoke to thirteen individuals requesting or giving information, spoke with four people in the department office and returned requested contact to ten people.
