March 2
Officer Tyler Franks responded to the area of US Highway 63 and Division Drive regarding an auto accident. His investigation discovered that an SUV struck a semi while traveling southbound on US Highway 63 before leaving the scene. This case is considered closed due to the lack of further evidence.
Officers spoke to the owner of Mr. Dent Body Shop regarding a vehicle previously reported stolen to Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
Officer Jacob Beadell took a report of identity theft. This case will remain open pending further investigation.
Officer Beadell responded to Lanton Road to assist Children's Division with an investigation follow-up. After the interview, a report will be referred to the Detective Division.
Officer Robert Shell responded to Preacher Roe Blvd. for a report of stealing. He later arrested a suspect.
Officer Caleb Kerley arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
March 3
Officer Daiman Meyer responded to Lincoln Avenue for an unknown circumstances call. He conducted an investigation and had an individual transported by EMS for a mental health
evaluation.
Officer Kerley took a report of items removed from a vehicle on Oregon St.
Officer Brent Keepes responded to Dollar General located on Lincoln Street in reference to a customer causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. He trespassed the individual from the store.
Officer Shell responded to Preacher Roe Blvd. for a report of stealing. He later arrested a suspect.
Cpl. Brandon Stephens arrested an individual from Burke Ave on an outstanding warrant.
March 4
Officer Beadell spoke with an individual reporting a theft.
Officer Keepes responded to Worcester Street in reference to a physical domestic altercation. The parties separated for the night, and no charges are being sought due to an uncooperative victim.
March 5
Officers responded to Kentucky Avenue regarding a stolen key drop box and U-Haul truck. This case will be referred to the West Plains Police Department Detective Division for further investigation.
Officer Dobbs responded to Dana Drive for a report of an electric bike abandoned on someone's property.
Officers received a call regarding a reported verbal altercation on W First Street. This case will be considered closed due to the victim's unwillingness to cooperate.
Officer Shell responded to Washington Ave. For a report of stealing.
March 6
Officer Meyer arrested an individual during a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant.
While on routine patrol conducting a business check on Lanton Road, officers discovered a door left unsecured. Officers cleared the building and found nothing suspicious.
Officer Dobbs responded to Grace Avenue for a runaway juvenile. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Juvenile Office.
Officer Keepes responded to a residence on Yeager Street to speak with an individual regarding a violation of a custody agreement. Charges will be sought.
March 7
Officer Jesse Martin took a report of an assault. No charges will be filed.
Sgt. Joshua Wichowski took a report of domestic violence related incident.
Officer Vernon responded to Walmart for a report of a private property accident.
Officer Kerley responded to 5th Street for a suicidal subject. After further investigation they transferred the individual to the hospital to be seen by a doctor.
