July 11
A woman reported that her wallet was lost or stolen near Casey’s on Gibson. The matter is under investigation.
A male subject was arrested on State Route BB for driving while suspended.
A driver was arrested on two active warrants from Iron County during a traffic stop on Worley Drive.
A woman came to the police department to report an assault. A report was completed.
A suicidal female was reported at Burton Creek Medical Clinic. The woman was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation.
A woman came to the police department in reference to stolen property. A report was completed.
A driver was cited for expired registration and no valid operator license during a traffic stop on Missouri Avenue.
A driver was cited for an expired driver’s license during a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner Boulevard.
July 12
A motorcyclist was cited for speeding and driving while revoked on McFarland Drive.
The Boys and Girls Club reported that someone had drilled into the fuel tank on a company van.
Trespassers were reported on Walker Street. A male subject was arrested on active warrants.
A female subject came to the police department to report a stolen check. A report was completed.
A driver was cited for failure to display state license plates, failure to maintain financial responsibility, and for driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner Boulevard.
An officer responded to a residence on Lanton Road in reference to a theft. A possible suspect was identified, and the investigation is ongoing.
A juvenile female on Walker Street was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation after making homicidal statements and assaulting her mother.
A domestic assault was reported on Pearl Circle. The suspect was taken into custody with charges pending.
July 13
The Alton Police Department requested digital forensics be conducted on a cellular device as part of a harassment investigation.
Trespassing and property damage was reported on Garfield. Charges are pending against a male suspect.
An assault was reported on Lanton Road. No involved parties wished to pursue charges. The involved parties were separated for the night.
July 14
A deceased male was reported at a residence on the 800 block of West 1st Street. It was determined that the man died from natural causes.
A female subject came to the police department to report stolen property. A report was completed.
A female runaway juvenile was located and taken into custody on Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The teen girl was turned over to juvenile authorities.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Department requested digital forensics to be conducted on two cellular devices as part of a homicide investigation.
Officers were dispatched to a home on Sesson Street in reference to a report of domestic violence. Charges are pending against a suspect in the incident.
July 15
An accidental overdose was reported on the 100 block of Leyda. A male subject was transported from the scene by EMS.
A 15-year-old female juvenile was taken into custody in the area of Gibson Plaza after being reported as a runaway. The girl was turned over to juvenile authorities.
A driver was arrested on an active Howell County warrant during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 63.
A hit and run accident was reported in the Taco Bell parking lot in Southern Hills. The incident is under investigation.
July 16
An individual reported incidents of fraud and harassment. The case was closed due to a lack of information regarding the suspect.
A runaway juvenile was taken into custody near People’s Park. The juvenile was turned over to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office.
A verbal domestic was reported at a residence on the 1400 block of 3rd Street.
A driver was cited for driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Abe Taylor.
A male subject reportedly caused property damage on Newton Street. A report was completed.
A traffic stop on Porter Wagoner for a lighting violation led to the arrest of a female subject with an active warrant.
July 17
Stolen property was reported at the Snappy Mart on the 1800 block of Porter Wagoner.
A driver was cited for expired tags and no valid operator license on Gibson.
A female subject was injured by a downed electrical line near Taco Bell on Gibson Street. The female was transported the hospital for possible electrocution. Electrical crews repaired the downed line.
