Calls for Service
March 16
Officer Tyler Franks responded to a residence in reference to a verbal domestic disturbance. His investigation discovered a couple involved in a verbal argument with one individual throwing a bottle at the other. Both parties agreed to separate.
Animal Control Officer spoke with an elderly individual complaining of unvaccinated and unregistered dogs living nearby. All paperwork will be forwarded to the city prosecutor for the filing of charges.
Officer Katie Sandgren received a call regarding a stolen vehicle. This case is still considered ongoing.
Cpl. Micah McKemie responded to Preacher Roe Blvd in reference to a trespassing. He located a subject previously trespassed from the property and arrested them for outstanding warrants. 
March 17
Officer Sandgren investigated a vehicle accident with one driver leaving the scene. Charges will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney’s office.
Officers assisting the South Central Drug Task Force with a search warrant execution at the Davidson Street Apartments located narcotics within the residence.
Officer Caleb Kerley took a report of a stolen laptop.
March 18
Officer Conner Burnes conducted a requested wellbeing check on Lanton Road. He received information regarding two open line 911 calls at the address. His investigation determined a domestic altercation took place at the residence, but he observed no injuries. The case will be closed due to an uncooperative victim.
Officer Sandgren responded to a call on Porter Wagoner regarding damage to the side of the building after being struck by a vehicle. The investigation learned the driver did not have insurance and possessed a suspended driving license.
Cpl. McKemie took a report of a theft from Trish Knight St. His investigation resulted in the return of the property. 
Officer Brendon Vernon investigated a report of a theft from a vehicle. He located the item stolen and suspect, placing them on a 24-hour hold pending charges.
March 19
Officer Sandgren took a report of property damage in the area of Carmichael Field.
While patrolling through Walmart parking lot, Officer Brent Keepes spoke with an individual reporting items stolen from their vehicle. He identified a suspect and charges will be sought.
Officer Jacob Beadell responded to Yeager St for a report of violation of order of protection. This case will be forwarded to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
March 20
Officer Franks conducted a security check at the high school and found an open door. He cleared and secured the building. 
Officer Vernon responded to Lynn St for a possible order of protection violation. 
Officer Beadell responded to Preacher Roe for a report of stealing. The reporting party provided evidence of the suspect stealing multiple items from the business on multiple occasions, ranging from February 7th till March 16th. This case will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
March 21
Officer Chris Barrett conducted a traffic stop on Worley Drive and arrested the driver on outstanding warrants.
Officer Vernon conducted a traffic stop on Porter Waggoner and arrested the passenger for outstanding warrants.
Officer Vernon took a report of harassment.
Officer Kerley spoke with an individual reporting an individual they share a child with broke items in their home and followed them to the PD and damaged their vehicle. This case will be referred to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
March 22
Officer Joseph Tombley responded to the area of E. Paydon for a reported domestic assault in progress. An investigation found and identified a primary aggressor. They took the individual into custody.
Officer Gill responded to Lincoln Avenue for a report of property damage. He conducted an investigation and charges will be filed with the West Plains Municipal Prosecutor's Office.
Officer Beadell spoke to an individual reporting a previous domestic assault that occurred on Harlin Drive. He gathered photographic evidence of injuries and the case will be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
Officer Kerley took a report of a broken toilet on Main Street. 
Officer Vernon arrested an individual on outstanding warrant out of Willow Springs. 
Officer Kerley responded to the Country Club for a medical assist. His investigation found no medical emergency, but the individual had outstanding warrants.
