Christopher Ryan Grose, 34, armed criminal action, fourth degree domestic assault, unlawful use of a weapon. 
Incidents
August 22
A female student reportedly left school and was in the area of Washington Street and Jackson Street. A parent of the girl had responded to the scene, and the girl became very agitated and out of control. At the request of the parent, the girl was transported to Ozarks Healthcare.
A theft was reported at Family Dollar. A suspect was identified, and charges are being sought.
Paperwork had been sent by the West Plains Public Library for stolen library materials. A probable cause statement was sent to the municipal prosecutor.
A driver was arrested during a traffic stop on State Route BB on an active warrant.
Counterfeit currency was reported at Casey’s on Gibson. The fake $100 bill was seized and placed into evidence.
August 23
A juvenile reportedly stole a game controller from the West Plains Public Library. The juvenile was referred to the juvenile office.
A driver was cited for no valid operator license during a traffic stop on Broadway.
An assault was reported on the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue. A suspect was arrested and taken to the Howell County Jail.
A sexual assault was reported in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.
A male subject was taken into custody on an active warrant out of Cabool.
August 24
A driver was cited for driving while suspended during a stop on Ramseur Road.
A male subject was taken into custody on multiple active warrants on Thornburgh.
A warrant was served on Grace Avenue. One person was taken into custody.
A driver was arrested during a traffic stop on Lambert Lane after it was discovered that the individual had a revoked license and an active warrant out of Arkansas.
Vandalism was reported at the bus stop at East Olden and Crestwood Circle. A report was taken.
A domestic assault was reported on the 1100 block of Lanton Road. One individual was issued a complaint ticket. The matter was referred to the municipal prosecutor.
Possible threats were reported at the Social Security Administration office. A male subject had become upset and yelled at staff. It is unknown if the subject actually made threats. The subject left the property, and no charges were filed.
A trespasser was reported at a property on West Broadway. 
A theft was reported at a business in the Southern Hills Shopping Center. A male subject took a pair of shoes from a display and left the store without paying. The matter remains under investigation. 
A controlled substance was found on the 900 block of Washington. The item was seized and destroyed.
A female subject was issued a citation after trying to get away from officers during a traffic stop on Utah.
August 25
A driver was issued a citation for driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Lambert Lane. 
A suicidal male was reported on State Route K. The man was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation.
A male subject claimed that he was nearly hit by a vehicle near 4th and Alaska. It was determined that no criminal activity had occurred.
An arrest warrant was served at a residence on Pierce Street.
Assistance was given to the Howell County Children’s Division at a home on Gibson, where abuse, neglect and poor living conditions were reported. Children from the home were placed in protective custody. The matter remains under investigation.
A landlord reported that an evicted tenant had left puppies at his rental property. An investigation found that the eviction process had not been completed, and that the puppies could not be removed.
A verbal domestic was reported at a residence on Jackson Street. Contact was made with the involved parties.
A wallet that was found on Lanton Road was brought to the police department. The wallet was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
August 26
The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force received a tip that Snapchat had observed an image depicting child sexual abuse material on their servers. The investigation continues.
The Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force, HSI, and the Taney County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in Forsyth. Charges are pending upon the completion of digital forensics.
A suspected explosive device was located at 10 Box grocery store. The device was confirmed to contain explosives and was disabled. The matter remains under investigation.
A suicidal juvenile was reported on Thayer Avenue. The juvenile was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation. 
A fraud report was received from a business on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard. The suspect has not been identified.
A vehicle theft was reported on Hynes Street. The investigation continues.
A woman reported that someone had obtained access to her Facebook account and uploaded explicit images.
August 27
A shoplifter was reported at Walmart. The suspect was issued a citation for stealing.
A domestic disturbance was reported on the 2300 block of Terra Street. One subject will be charged with fourth degree domestic assault for a physical altercation that occurred.
A theft was reported on the 400 block of Broadway. The matter remains under investigation.
Missing juveniles were reported on Lanton Road. The children were located and returned to their parents.
A theft was reported on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard. The case is under investigation.
August 28
A customer at Casey’s on Gibson tried to pay with a fake $100 bill. A probable cause statement was sent to the municipal prosecutor.
A vehicle theft was reported at the 14 Junction truck stop. The investigation continues.
A driver was cited for driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Leyda Avenue.
A domestic disturbance was reported in the area of Air Medical Drive. Contact was attempted with the involved parties, but they were not able to be located.
A burglary was reported on the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue. The matter remains under investigation.
A traffic stop was made near Cherry and Worcester in reference to a possible domestic violence incident. A report was completed.
A female subject was taken into custody on an active warrant on Myrtle Street.
A suicidal female subject was reported on Crestwood Circle. The woman was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation.
A domestic disturbance and possible gunfire were reported on Walker Street. A male suspect was taken into custody with charges pending.
