August 15
A broken glass door was discovered at the back of a business on the 100 block of Washington Avenue after an alarm was triggered. A burglary suspect was located and arrested.
A suspect was arrested in connection with a burglary on the 200 block of Trish Knight. The suspect allegedly broke the glass out of a door to gain access to the business.
A male suspect damaged a wire to a security camera and moved other cameras in an attempt to burglarize a business on Howell Avenue. The suspect had already been arrested on other charges, and faces additional charges of property damage and attempted burglary. 
A male subject came to the police department to turn himself in on nine outstanding warrants. 
An officer responded to Simmons Bank on State Route K for a report of possible fraudulent activity on a bank account. 
An officer responded to a business on Worley Drive for a report of child abuse. The matter is under investigation. 
Shoplifting was reported at Walmart. A citation was issued and forwarded to the municipal prosecutor. 
An individual was arrested on the 600 block of Summers on an outstanding warrant. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on the 800 block of Missouri Avenue. A female subject was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation.  
August 16
A resident on Rosemoor reported a fraud. A report was taken, and the investigation continues. 
Police from Paragould, Arkansas reported that a female subject stated that she had possibly been sexually assaulted in West Plains. The matter is under investigation. 
A bicycle was reported stolen on the 200 block of Westmont. An investigation is underway. 
A burglary was reported in the 300 block of South Aid Avenue. A male subject was trespassed from the property, and a report was completed. 
Casey’s on Preacher Roe Boulevard reported an intoxicated male subject that was causing a disturbance. The man was placed on a twelve-hour protective hold. 
August 17
Simmons Bank reported that someone tried to defraud the bank. Charges are being sought against the subject. 
An out-of-control juvenile was reported on the 100 block of Kentucky Avenue. The juvenile was transported to Ozarks Healthcare. 
A well-being check was made at a residence on the 1000 block of West 3rd Street. A hotline was completed for the living conditions found at the residence. 
A well-being check was made on the 1400 block of West 3rd Street. A report was completed.  
A resident on the 200 block of Cherry reported a trespasser. The matter is under investigation. 
An intoxicated male subject was arrested after causing a disturbance near Trish Knight Street and Washington Avenue. 
A male subject, known to have active felony warrants, was seen walking along Porter Wagoner Boulevard. When contact was attempted with the subject, he fled on foot from the area. The subject was later located on Grace Avenue, at which time the suspect attempted to flee again. The man was taken into custody after a foot chase and faces additional charges for resisting arrest. 
A hit-and-run accident was reported on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard. The investigation continues. 
August 18
Several street signs were reported stolen by the city street department. 
A female subject was taken into custody at the police department on an active warrant. 
A domestic disturbance was reported at a residence on Pierce Street. 
An individual reported a theft. An unknown suspect had stolen money from the individual on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard. While the incident was captured on video, the suspect had not yet been identified. 
A disturbance was reported on the 300 block of East 3rd Street. A report was taken. 
Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of Mitchell for a report of an individual using fake identification to purchase alcohol. The fake ID was seized and destroyed. 
August 19
An abandoned vehicle was found blocking a driveway on Independence Avenue. The vehicle was towed from the scene. 
A break-in was reported on the 1100 block of Garfield. Multiple items were stolen. The investigation continues. 
A yard ornament was reported stolen on the 700 block of Pamela Drive. The matter remains under investigation. 
During a traffic stop on Webster, a driver was issued citations for driving with a suspended license. The vehicle also had expired registration, and a child was observed without a seatbelt while the vehicle was moving. 
A female subject reported that her debit card and identification had been stolen, but that she had located the items. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on the 1000 block of 3rd Street. The involved parties were separated for the night. 
August 20
During a traffic stop on Lincoln Avenue, a driver was found to be intoxicated. Formal charges are pending. 
A disturbance was reported on the 1500 block of 1st Street. No criminal activity was found. A report was completed. 
Found property was located on the 400 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. The property was placed in evidence for safekeeping. 
A female subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop on Broadway. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on the 1500 block of 1st Street. A verbal argument had occurred amongst family members. Officers were able to help end the argument. 
A shoplifter was trespassed from Walmart after stealing multiple items. 
A male subject was taken into custody on active warrants on Cass Avenue. 
A driver was cited from driving while suspended during a stop on Thayer Avenue. 
Charges are being sought against a female subject following a domestic assault at a residence on Lanton Road. 
August 21
Property damage was reported on the 2300 block of Terra. The investigation continues. 
A female subject was reported inside an unoccupied house on Lincoln Avenue. The woman left the house when officers arrived, and the reporting party decided to not press charges. 
An altercation in reference to a theft was reported on the 100 block of Howell Avenue. One involved party was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant. 
An alarm was triggered at a business on Court Square. A door was found unlocked, and the building was secured. No foul play is suspected. 
A domestic disturbance was reported on Pierce Street between two roommates. Charges are being sought. 
A child custody violation was reported on Leyda. Charges are being sought. 
A driver was cited for driving while suspended during a stop on the 1300 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard.
