Incidents
July 18
Contact was made with an individual near Sonic that was known to have an active warrant. The subject was taken into custody.
Property damage was reported at a business on the 600 block of Olden Street.
Several items were reported stolen on the 1100 block of Garfield. The case is under investigation.
A suicidal subject was reported on West 5th Street. The subject was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental health evaluation.
Officers were dispatched to a disturbance on the 2200 block of Kay Drive. A report was taken.
A domestic assault was reported on Ginger Drive. While the altercation was only verbal, a probable cause statement for an incident that occurred in May was sent to the county prosecutor for charges against the suspect of third-degree domestic assault.
July 19
After a report of a suspicious subject on Joe Jones Boulevard, a door was found open at West Plains Monument. There were no signs of forced entry, and nothing was tampered with.
A driver was cited for driving while revoked during a stop on State Route K.
A theft was reported on the 2300 block of Terra.
A domestic disturbance was reported on the 1800 block of Cole Street.
A hit-and-run accident was reported on North Kentucky Avenue. The case was closed due to lack of evidence.
A theft was reported on the 200 block of Westmont. The incident is under investigation.
Following a domestic disturbance on Hull Street, a male subject was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation, and a probable cause statement was sent to the municipal prosecutor for fourth degree domestic assault.
A driver was cited for driving while suspended during a traffic stop near U.S. Highway 63 and State Route K.
July 20
A female subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop on Preacher Roe Boulevard.
A homicidal male subject was reported at Burton Creek Pharmacy . The male was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation.
A theft was reported on Paula Drive. A report was taken.
The Little Rock Police Department reported that they had found a firearm that had been reported stolen in West Plains. The case remains under investigation.
July 21
An elderly female subject was reported deceased on the 3000 block of U.S. Highway 63. No foul play is suspected.
A theft was reported at a business on the 900 block of Preacher Roe Boulevard. The incident is under investigation.
An individual reported having a tire slashed on the 1100 block of Broadway. The matter is under investigation.
The possible abduction of woman was reported on the 1400 block of 8th Street. Officers discovered the claim to be false.
A burglary was reported at an apartment on Hubert Redburn Drive. The matter remains under investigation.
July 22
A woman reported that her son had assaulted her on the 800 block of East Main Street. The case was closed due to an uncooperative victim.
A representative with FNBC Bank came to the police department to file a report of property damage.
A resident on the 600 block of Shuttee reported a fraud. The matter is being investigated.
A theft was reported at the National Guard Armory. The discovery was made while inventory was being taken. A suspect was interviewed, but no charges have been filed.
July 23
Vehicle tampering was reported on the 1400 block of 7th Street. The matter remains under investigation.
A male subject was arrested for assault on the 200 block of Jan Howard Expressway. The male victim was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment.
A report of harassment was received from an individual on the 1200 block of Howell Avenue.
Murphy’s gas station reported the theft of fuel. A probable cause statement was sent to the city prosecutor.
A lawnmower was reported stolen on Grace Avenue.
An individual contact ed the police department to report being harassed. The matter is under investigation.
A domestic assault was reported on Locust. While there was no physical altercation between the involved parties, one person was taken to Ozarks Healthcare for an injury sustained from striking an object.
July 24
A motorcycle rider was issued a citation for not having a motorcycle endorsement during a stop on Porter Wagoner Boulevard.
A driver was cited for driving while revoked on Walnut Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
A male subject was transported to Ozarks Healthcare for a mental evaluation after assaulting a female staff member on the 1000 block of Woodland. The man also assaulted the responding officer.
A child custody order violation was reported on Leyda. A probable cause statement was forwarded to the county prosecutor.
Tools were reported stolen on the 1200 block of Porter Wagoner Boulevard. A report was completed.
A stolen bicycle was reported on Burgoyne. A report was filed.
