Calls for Service
July 6
Officer Travis Wilbanks responded to an alarm at the RCT Lodge.  Upon arrival, Officer Wilbanks determined the location to be secure. 
Officer Wilbanks stopped to check on a vehicle sitting off of the roadway on US Highway 60 near North State Route 17.  Officer Wilbanks determined the vehicle had been abandoned possibly due to mechanical issues.
Officer Wilbanks was requested to patrol an address on Vine Street.  The homeowners do not live at that location, but received a call about someone possibly being around the residence.  Officer Wilbanks was unable to locate anyone nearby.
July 7
Chief James Perkins performed a well being check for a woman on West Third Street.  
Officer Charles Brown responded to a noise disturbance on East Belmont for two women arguing.
Detective Stetson Schwien performed a well being check on Delp Road.  
Detective Schwien was dispatched to East James Street for a medical call. Detective Schwien remained on site until paramedics arrived.
Officer Brown responded to a reported assault on West Fifth Street.  
Officer Travis Wilbanks was dispatched to Malone’s Motel for a report of a dog locked in a vehicle. Officer Wilbanks spoke with the owner of the animal.
July 8
Officer Wilbanks responded to a call for additional assistance with the Howell County Sheriff’s Office for a domestic disturbance.
Officer Timothy Gordon performed a well being check for a resident on West Fifth Street.  
July 9
Corporal Trenton Roberts was dispatched to East Third Street for an animal complaint. The animal’s owner was contacted and they stated they would keep the animal restrained and on their property.
A man contacted Corporal Roberts regarding a stolen title. Corporal Roberts advised the man to apply for a new title with the Department of Revenue.  
July 10
Corporal Roberts fingerprinted a woman who reported to the police department.
A man contacted Corporal Roberts with concerns from a teenage boy.  Corporal Roberts advised the man to have the teenager contact the police if needed.
A woman came to the police department stating she was waiting for her child’s father to pick up the child and that the father had not shown up. The woman had waited well past the ordered time. Corporal Roberts took her statement.
A woman came to the police department and asked Corporal Roberts when a property could be considered abandoned.  Corporal Roberts advised her of the answer
Officer Timothy Gordon responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.  
July 11
Corporal Roberts was dispatched to Maple Wood Court for a report of a woman who had collapsed. CPR was in progress on the scene. When Corporal Roberts arrived, the woman was breathing on her own. She was transported by paramedics to the hospital.  
Corporal Roberts was dispatched to East Third Street to escort a woman from a residence. When Corporal Roberts arrived, the woman had already left and the reporting party stated she no longer needed law enforcement. 
Corporal Roberts was dispatched for a burglar alarm. Upon arrival, he verified the doors and windows were secure. Officer Timothy Gordon arrived on the scene and cited the suspect for trespassing.
July 12
A man asked Corporal Roberts what he could do about an animal causing a nuisance around his home. Corporal Roberts gave the man some suggestions.
Corporal Roberts was dispatched to Malone's Motel for a report of a woman having a seizure.   When Corporal Roberts arrived, the woman was responsive and stated she has medication for the seizures and declined medical attention. 
A woman contacted Corporal Roberts with questions about shooting fireworks.
