June 5

Asst. Chief Trenton Roberts conducted a requested wellbeing check to assist EMS. 

Dollar General reported an individual previously trespassed from the store, currently inside. By the officers arrived the individual left the area, and an investigation of surveillance video confirmed their presence in the store. A citation will be served to the individual. 

Asst. Chief Roberts and Officer Matthew Combs responded to a request from the hospital to assist with a suicidal subject. EMS transported the individual.

Asst. Chief Roberts responded to Walmart for a shoplifting report.

Officer Combs spoke with a vender selling vegetables regarding a city permit to sell.

June 6

Asst. Chief Roberts responded to the intersection of Hwy 60 and N. Elm St. to assist an oversized loaded trailer get into the correct route to S. Hwy 17. He found the vehicle too large and had to be rerouted to N. Pine and Hwy 17.

Asst. Chief Roberts responded near N. Marr for a 5- or 6-year-old child riding a small motorbike on city streets. He contacted the child and parents and provided them with information on city ordinances pertaining to motorized vehicles.

June 8

Asst. Chief Roberts spoke with an individual reporting a theft. The party reported a child came into their yard and stole fishing poles.

Officer Jacob Brixey assisted a motorist with a disabled vehicle.

June 9

Chief Stetson Schwien responded to a wellbeing request and found the individual in medical distress. EMS transported the individual.

June 11

Officer Brixey responded to Mercy ER for a disruptive patient. They found the individual highly intoxicated, yelling and threatening the staff. They de-escalated the situation and the staff rendered treatment. 

Chief Schwien responded to Anchor and assisted a lost motorist.

Officer Blaise Dudding conducted a security check of a building with an audible alarm. He found the building secure.

 

For the week officers: followed up on one previous investigation, assisted once with traffic control, conducted three building checks, investigated one nuisance ordinance violation, assisted with one animal call investigated one suspicious circumstance report, and issued seventeen traffic warnings.
