Calls for Service
October 5
Officer Timothy Gordon responded to an alarm at an address on East Fourth St. and found the rear door to be unsecured. Officer Gordon secured the building and contacted the keyholder. When the keyholder arrived, the building was cleared and nothing was found to be out of order. 
Officer Gordon received a call requesting for extra patrol overnight.  He provided extra patrols to the East Fifth St. location.
October 8
Officer Gordon received a call from an individual who reported an intoxicated woman walking in the road on East James St.  Officer Gordon responded to the location and convinced the woman to return to her home. 
Corporal Trenton Roberts went to West Second St. for a report of a suspicious person.  Upon arrival, he was unable to find anyone matching the description.
The police department was notified of an abandoned vehicle at the city pool.  The vehicle was towed from the parking lot since it had been there for an extended period of time. 
Corporal Roberts was dispatched for a wellbeing check on East Seventh St., but he was unable to contact the person and they were not at home. 
Corporal Roberts was contacted by the Dent County Sheriff's Office to do a wellbeing check and serve papers. 
October 9
Officer Dawnesha Scott returned a call.  The individual reported some towels stolen from Malone’s Motel.  The individual inquired if there was a camera facing the motel.  Officer Scott provided the individual with information.  
Officer Scott responded to the McDonald’s for a report of a truck rear ending another vehicle in the drive-through.  Officer Scott processed the scene where there were no injuries and no damage.  Neither driver wanted to file a report.  
Officer Scott performed a wellbeing check for an individual because the caller was unable to reach him by phone. The officer went to the location on Delp Rd. and spoke to the man. 
The police department received a call from an individual who wanted to report their sister being stalked.  Extra patrols will be performed in the area. 
An individual came to the police department to inquire about the camera footage from McDonald’s. Officer Lisa Noble explained that the police department would work with McDonald’s management on Monday.  
Officer Noble responded to North Ash St. for a report of neighbors arguing.  The officer spoke with the involved parties and advised them to go to their own homes and have no further contact with each other. 
October 10
The manager from Taco Bell called the police department to report a horse trailer littering in their parking lot. Officer Scott provided the manager with a statement form.  
October 11
The police department received a call from an individual reporting a gunshot and someone getting into a car. Officers arrived at the Wade St. address and spoke with the neighbor.  The neighbor stated they were partying but said no gun was fired. Officer Scott provided the reporting individual with a statement form.
