March 6
Asst. Chief Trenton Roberts responded to a complaint of an individual attempting to take another’s firearm in a lock box. His investigation found the suspect not allowed to have the firearm in their possession and returned it to the reporting party. He advised both of the 12-hour rule of separation.
March 7
Cpl. Kylie McGee responded to a complaint of an individual walking in traffic threatening to fight people. She spoke to an individual reporting they had a disagreement with family.
Officer Dylan Cook received a call of an older couple requesting to enter someone’s home. The reporting caller could not describe the couple or give any further information.
Officer Cook conducted a security check on a unoccupied vehicle with the light on, parked at a business after hours.
March 8
Cpl. McGee investigated a complaint of teenagers in a parking lot. She advised them to leave.
Cpl. McGee found multiple doors left accessible at the golf course. She checked the area and secured it.
An individual found a rifle at the car wash and called for it to be picked up. Officer James Wardrip retrieved the firearm and follow-up will be conducted.
March 9
Asst. Chief Roberts responded to Highway 60 and North Pine Street for disabled vehicle. He assisted with traffic until a tow truck arrived.
Officer Wardrip stayed with a medical patient until EMS could arrive.
Officer Wardrip conducted a requested wellbeing check.
Cpl. McGee removed large boxes from the roadway.
March 10
Cpl. McGee conducted a safety check on an individual asleep in Veterans’ Park parking lot. The individual complied with every request, and she allowed them to stay.
Cpl. McGee recovered property from the roadway and returned it to the owner.
March 11
Chief Stetson Schwien received a call of an open door on a business. He checked the area and found everything fine. It appeared the door came open during a storm.
All officers conducted a search warrant within the City.
March 12
Chief Schwien received a call from City Hall reporting a young child running alone in the roadway wearing nothing but a diaper. He conducted a safety check on the child and attempted to locate the parents. He made contact with a guardian and turned the child over to them. A hotline call will be placed.
Chief Schwien received information from Missouri State Highway Patrol of a tractor trailer driving erratically. He located the vehicle and did not notice any traffic violations.
Chief Schwien investigated a non-injury vehicle accident.
Chief Schwien responded to a domestic altercation where threats of weapons were reported. He found a verbal disturbance only and advised the parties to remain separate.
Officer Matthew Combs responded to a commercial building alarm.
Sgt. Nathan Griffin took a report of a verbal disturbance.
