Property damage was reported at a residence on State Route DD in Willow Springs. There are no known suspects. The investigation continues. 
May 22
Theft was reported at a residence on County Road 5640. The investigation continues. 
Two trailers, a Dodge pickup and several other items were reported stolen from a residence on County Road 8270 in West Plains. The matter remains under investigation. 
May 23
The pastor of the First Freewill Baptist Church on County Road 6460 reported the theft of a catalytic converter from a church van. The suspect was caught on surveillance video non-support is trying to be identified. 
About 50 to 75 metal pipes, along with two buckets full of pipe fittings, were stolen from a property on County Road 3500. The estimated value of the items are approximately $1250. 
May 24
Suspected illegal narcotics were located and seized from a vehicle during a traffic stop on County Road 8620. Formal charges are pending against the driver. 
Property damage and theft was reported at a property on County Road 7960. A report was taken, and the investigation continues. 
The Howell County Prosecutor’s Office called about a female subject that has failed to appear for court on several occasions. The matter is under investigation. 
A property line dispute was reported on County Road 6620. Judicial remedies were explained to the involved parties. A report was taken. 
May 25
A caretaker for a mentally handicapped male was assaulted by the man. It is unknown why the man, who is unable to speak, became angry and assaulted the female caretaker. Arrangements were made for another caretaker to watch the man. The female caretaker declined to press charges. 
A report was received that a sixteen-year-old male had made sexual contact with an eight-year-old female. The suspect fled the area into a wooded area and had not been located. Charges were forwarded to the Juvenile Office. 
A firearm was reported stolen from a motor home on County Road 8240 in West Plains. A person of interest has been identified, and the investigation is ongoing. 
May 26
A domestic assault was reported on County Road 5120. The suspect fled to a wooded area when authorities arrived. The female victim reported multiple instances of assault by the suspect. Formal charges are pending. 
A vehicle fled from Corporal Derek Hughston, while he was on patrol. The driver of the vehicle abandoned the vehicle, and fled into the woods. Drug paraphernalia and suspected marijuana was found in the car. The investigation continues. 
May 27
Theft of multiple items was reported at a property on U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains. The investigation continues. 
A theft was reported at a residence on County Road 5110. 
May 28
A domestic disturbance was reported on County Road 8230. A woman at the scene stated that her boyfriend threw items and took off with her phone and purse. Neither party wished to pursue charges. 
A West Plains man reported that he was part of a Facebook scam. The man stated that he sent a payment for the purchase of a vehicle part, but never received the part. A report was taken. 
A driver was stopped by Deputy Travis Weaver on County Road 6920 in West Plains. After contact was made with the driver, it was determined that the driver was intoxicated. The driver was issued a citation for driving while intoxicated. 
May 30
Contact was made with a female victim of an assault that had occurred on State Route 17 in Pomona. Formal charges against the suspect were sent to the prosecuting attorney.
