Incidents
September 13
A gas drive off was reported at the Junction Hill Snappy Mart on U.S. Highway 160, east of West Plains. The matter is under investigation.
A firearm offense was reported at a business on U.S. Highway 160 in Caulfield. The firearm involved in the incident was seized, and formal charges were forwarded to the Howell County prosecutor.
September 14
A domestic assault and property damage were reported at a residence on County Road 4300.
September 15
Found property, which had been located on Missouri Avenue in West Plains, was brought to the Sheriff’s Office.
An unresponsive male subject was reported on the 11700 block of State Route 17. The male was pronounced dead at the scene.
September 16
An assault was reported near the 60/63 junction in Willow Springs. Charges are pending in the matter.
A potentially suicidal female was reported on Private Road 2016. The woman requested to be taken to the hospital.
A subject reported that someone fired a gun near his residence after following him home on County Road 9030. The matter is under investigation.
A report was received of interference with child custody. Charges were filed in the matter.
September 18
A domestic assault and child custody issue were reported at a residence on U.S. Highway 160 in West Plains. Contact was made with the Children’s Division.
A male subject reported that he lost his phone while floating on the North Fork River.
September 19
An individual reported that he was the victim of a scam. The matter is under investigation.
A resident on County Road 6340 reported a trespassing incident.
An individual reported having money stolen from their bank account. The matter is under investigation.
